General Position Description
Cleared American Worker – Site Logistics Manager – Federal Government Projects
General Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves coordinating and supervising activities such as warehousing, distribution, and transportation, while also collaborating with other departments to optimize the flow of goods and materials.
Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to meet the company’s needs and objectives
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement (as required), transportation, warehousing, and distribution of construction materials
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
Inventory Control:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing overstock and shortages
- Implement systems for tracking inventory and forecast demand to ensure accurate supply levels
- Coordinate with purchasing teams for stock replenishment based on demand planning
Warehouse Management:
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods
- Ensure proper storage conditions and efficient space utilization in the warehouse
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage logistics budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising service quality
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Manage risks associated with the supply chain, such as delays, transportation issues, and supplier performance
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to logistics, such as delivery times, transportation costs, and inventory accuracy
- Use data and metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process improvements
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on logistics performance and outcomes
Safety & Site Conduct:

Wear and maintain required PPE at all times

Participate in daily/weekly safety briefings and toolbox talks

Follow site-specific security procedures for Federal facility access

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Coordination:

Coordinate daily with the Site Superintendent and Quality Control manager

Communicate with inspectors and Government Quality Assurance representatives during scheduled inspections

Attend project progress meetings and provide status updates as required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling or stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum Qualification: A bachelor's degree; OR an associate's degree plus 4 years of recent specialized experience; OR a high school diploma plus 8 years of recent specialized experience

This position requires having and maintaining a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and possess a security clearance at the Secret level. Failure to maintain the required clearance may result in termination of employment.

In-depth understanding of logistics processes, inventory management, and distribution

Demonstrated experience completing complex construction projects, including the ability to manage varying project conditions such as difficult clients and complex scopes of work

Extensive knowledge of multiple construction trades for effective trade coordination

Working knowledge and application of ICD/ICS 705 and UFC 4-010-05

Working knowledge of OSHA, and USACE EM 385-1-1 safety requirements

Exceptional teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

Proficient in both renovation and new construction projects

Valid 10-year passport with at least 2 years of remaining validity, or a valid 4-year passport with at least 2 years of remaining validity, preferred
