【Role Summary】
As a Sustainability Expert within the Industry & Infrastructure (I&I) Division of TÜV SÜD Japan, you will support Japanese companies in their decarbonization and sustainability initiatives through services such as GHG emissions assessment, carbon footprinting, LCA, decarbonization strategies, and compliance with sustainability-related regulations and international standards.You will also work closely with TÜV SÜD experts globally to develop new sustainability services and expand our sustainability business in the Japanese market.
【Key Responsibilities】
・Conduct assessments, verification, and technical consulting related to GHG emis-sions, Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
・Support customers in carbon neutrality, decarbonization, and energy transition initiatives.
・Provide 3rd party verification and advisory on sustainability-related regulations, schemes, and international standards.
・ Collaborate with TÜV SÜD’s global network of sustainability and technical experts on international projects.
・ Identify market needs and develop new sustainability services and business opportunities in Japan.
・ Support customer engagement through technical proposals, seminars, workshops, and presentations.

【Required Qualifications】
・ Experience in at least one of the following areas:
1. Sustainability-related consulting
2. Sustainability assurance or verification at an audit firm
3. GHG emissions accounting and experience supporting related audits or assurance activities within a company
・ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with sales teams and other stakeholders
・ Business-level English proficiency
・ Business-level Japanese proficiency (ability to communicate effectively in Japanese-only environments with both internal and external stakeholders).
【Preferred Qualifications】
・Experience in CDP, SBTi consulting
・Experience in Human Right Due Diligence
・Experience in LCA or Product Carbon Footprint
