8. Compensation
Salary and Benefits: Based on the salary regulations of Iwate University and subject to annual
salary system (Retirement allowance is paid at the time of retirement.)
Working Hours: Discretionary working system for professional work, 7 hours and 45 minutes of
de facto working per day
Insurance: Employment Insurance, Social Insurance, Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance,
Mutual Aid Association of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
Days off: Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, etc.
9. Application Documents
(1) A curriculum vitae. 1)Attach an ID photo, 2) Email address, 3) Phone number, 4) Educational
background, 5) Work history, 6) Academic affiliations, 7) Awards and punishments.
(2) Summary of educational experience in your expertise. 1) Lecture experience (Teaching assistant
for new graduates) and the evaluations, 2) Experience in supervising (assisting) students on
their graduation research, 3) Awards received by students. (one A4 page)
(3) List of research achievements. 1) Peer-reviewed academic papers, 2) Books, 3) International
conference papers (separate into abstract peer-reviewed, full paper peer-reviewed, and non-
peer-reviewed), 4) Review papers, 5) Research reports, 6) Oral presentations, and 7) Patents
(separate into granted and ungranted patents). If the applicant is the first author or
corresponding author, mark the name of the author of the paper with an asterisk (*).
(4) Three copies of your accepted scientific papers that represent your work (photocopies are
accepted)
(5) An outline of past research achievements (two A4 pages)
(6) Aspirations for education and research at Iwate University (two A4 pages)
(7) Name, affiliation, and contact information (Email address, Phone number) of one professional
reference who are willing to be contacted about the applicant.
(8) Any other documents for reference (External funds such as scientific research grants
(representative/shared), Academic activities, Social contributions, International contributions,
and Your future aspirations for these).
10. Application Period: From August 20, 2026 to no later than October 30, 2026
11. Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted in two stages.
Primary screening: documents screening
Secondary screening: interviews
