仕事内容:
Maison Vivienne is looking for an unusually creative designer obsessed with paper, origami, kirigami, folding, movement, and physical mechanisms.
We are developing a new packaging experience for luxury fashion and want to explore what can happen when origami meets product design and couture.
This is not a graphic-design role.
We are looking for someone who loves making things with their hands and can experiment rapidly with paper to create surprising physical interactions.
The Challenge
- Design a paper packaging system that:
- Creates a beautiful and unexpected opening movement
- Can be opened intuitively with one gesture
- Uses primarily paper/cardUses as few components as possible
- Can eventually be inexpensive to manufacture at scale
- Feels sophisticated rather than decorative or gimmicky
Think: Origami × Kirigami × Kinetic Design × Fashion Construction × Packaging Engineering
アピールポイント:
- Hands-on experience developing innovative paper packaging for a luxury fashion business
- Opportunity to take concepts from paper experiments and prototypes to final development
- Experience with origami, kirigami, folding mechanisms, dielines, and packaging engineering
- Understanding of real manufacturing requirements, materials, and production constraints
- Portfolio-worthy work combining product design, paper engineering, and luxury packaging
- Exposure to luxury fashion, packaging innovation, and product development
求める人材:
Qualifications
You might study product design, industrial design, packaging, architecture, fashion construction or paper engineering.
More importantly, you are someone who:
- Is obsessed with folding and paper structures
- Makes physical prototypes rather than only renders
- Understands or wants to learn dielines and production
- Experiments obsessively
- Can turn a simple sheet of paper into something unexpected
- And enjoys solving mechanical problems with extremely simple materials.
A beautiful portfolio is welcome, but curiosity and inventive thinking matter more.
Initial project
You will receive a physical design brief and create multiple full-scale paper mechanisms. We want quantity before perfection: experiment, fold, cut, fail, rebuild. The strongest concept will then be developed into a refined, manufacturable Maison Vivienne packaging system.
