As the Principal IT Business Analyst for Japan, you will be the strategic architect of our commercial technology roadmap. You will partner with senior business leaders in the Japan region to translate commercial strategies into high-impact digital solutions. Your role is critical in harmonizing our Salesforce-driven CRM, Marketing Cloud initiatives, and E-commerce platforms with our foundational SAP ERP processes to ensure a seamless journey.
A critical focus for this position is leading Minimed through a major organizational milestone: planning and executing our TSA (Transition Service Agreement) exit. You will play a key role in decoupled architecture planning, ensuring that as Minimed transitions to a standalone entity, the Japanese commercial tech stack is successfully migrated and deployed into our new target architecture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for the Japan Commercial leadership team, identifying technology gaps and driving the digital transformation agenda.
- Lead the discovery and design phases for new product launches, ensuring the digital infrastructure supports Japanese market-specific regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Drive digital and AI-enabled commercial initiatives
2. Commercial Ecosystem Management
- Salesforce & Marketing Cloud: Direct the optimization of CRM workflows and automated marketing journeys. You will ensure that field sales teams and digital marketing pods are aligned on a unified view of the customer.
- E-commerce: Oversee the integration of B2B/B2C E-commerce platforms, focusing on user experience, local payment gateway integrations, and order management accuracy.
- ERP Integration: Act as the functional bridge to the SAP team, ensuring that commercial front-end activities (orders, pricing, inventory) sync perfectly with back-end financial and supply chain modules.
3. TSA Exit Planning & Target Architecture Deployment
- Transition & Separation Leadership: Partner with global and regional IT teams to lead the TSA exit planning for Minimed Japan’s commercial applications. Ensure business continuity with zero disruption to daily commercial operations.
- Target Architecture Alignment: Map the "as-is" legacy shared systems and help design and build the "to-be" independent target application architecture specifically optimized for the Japanese market.
- Application Deployment: Own the functional validation, testing governance, and localized deployment strategies for migrating commercial systems (Salesforce, E-commerce, SAP) into Minimed's independent environment.
- Own the regional project portfolio, ensuring that global IT standards are met while allowing for "local-for-local" customizations necessary for the Japanese market.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience 7+ years of IT Business Analysis experience with a Bachelor’s Degree preferably with 3 years in a "Principal" or "Lead" capacity.
Domain - Life Sciences / Pharma / MedTech experience is highly preferred. Understanding of GxP, HIPAA, and Japanese PMDA data privacy standards.
