What's the role?:
As the Sr. Account Executive you will be responsible for achieving sales and/or profitability objectives with a leading Japanese Auto OEM. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative cross functional team and therefore, required to develop and lead various internal and external, cross functional sales related projects to successful completion. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: prospecting content, In Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), Connected Vehicle Services (CVS) and Highly Automated Driving (HAD) opportunities in all parts of the business at the client, creating the strategy to establish and collaborate with the client, leading the process of developing proposals / Term Sheets and ensuring successful signing of contracts.
Your main responsibilities include:

Managing direct sales and account development for the assigned Japan OEM account, acting as the Sr. Account Executive responsible for customer engagement, opportunity creation, and commercial execution.

Building and maintaining effective long-term relationships with senior-level decision makers, influencers, and stakeholders within the assigned Japanese OEM and related global customer organizations.

Identifying, developing, and closing new sales opportunities for HERE products and services across Japan-led programs and related global opportunities ( related to the assigned OEM).

Achieving Bookings and Revenue targets by increasing revenue spend, protecting renewals, and expanding pipeline across local and global account opportunities.

Conducting regular status, pipeline, and strategy meetings with customer senior management to understand business priorities and linking them to HERE product and service strategies.

Collaborating effectively with HERE global teams, System Vendor teams, technology partners, and ecosystem partners to identify opportunities, create synergies, and support integrated customer outcomes.

You are someone with a "can do" attitude who is willing to accept tasks and responsibilities that may fall outside a traditional salesperson role to ensure the ongoing success of the Japanese Auto OEM Global Account Sales Team. You consistently demonstrate advanced sales, marketing/ market research, analytical and business skills. You will be successful on this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and work experience

Bachelors or Masters in business, engineering, or related fields.

Over 10 years+ experience as a sales executive in account management or account sales with a proven record of achieving sales targets and being able to close complex deals, especially with Automotive OEMs.

Successful management of complex enterprise sales pursuits and demonstrated execution excellence.

Strong cross functional collaboration and team building skills.

Strong business, negotiation and closing skills.

Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key decision makers at the customer organization.

Ability to manage various stakeholders at multiple levels of people and organization in automotive customers as well as assigned market.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese
