We are currently seeking a IT Support Engineer with Japanese and English to join our team in Moriguchi-shi, Osaka (JP-27), Japan (JP).

Position Overview:
- Individuals here have a well-rounded knowledge of the policies and procedures for their work area.
- Their work may require discretion and independent judgment for non-routine matters. However, the primary focus of work activity is predominately routine.
- They may make policy recommendations to their managers and be an escalation point for less experienced team members.
- Performs basic troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment and repair on desktops / notebooks/
- printers.
- May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions.
- Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades, basic deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers.
- Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action.
- This will be a full time Onsite role.
- The individual must have excellent Japanese communication skills (spoken, reading, and written). Proficiency in English (spoken, reading, and written) is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.

Job Family Grade Description
- Performs trouble-shooting parts replacement , system upgrades, advanced deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers.
- Uses advanced tools /technical knowledge to remediate client problems and conduct scheduled installations.
- Provides technical feedback on technical process issues to improve overall service delivery.
- May act as team lead at times and coach team members.
- Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and take corrective action.
- May assist with simple parts replacement and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers.
- Travel may be required. (As per NTTD’s travel policy)
- May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader’s instructions.
Skills
- Proficient in Windows operating system environment
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems may be required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating system environment.
- Solid client service skills.
- A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
- The individual must have excellent Japanese communication skills (spoken, reading, and written). Proficiency in English (spoken, reading, and written) is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Ability to physically perform general office requirements. Such as the lifting / movement of assets from one location to another within the same premises or between two different premises. (The person must be physically able to do normal office tasks, including occasionally lifting or moving items that can weigh up to 50 pounds, with support equipment like trolleys, trays etc. )
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Significant travel including overnight domestic trips may be required

- Typically requires 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
Minimum Education and Certifications
- High School Degree / Diploma or equivalent.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
