This is a standalone, People Generalist role responsible for delivering day-to-day People Operations support across APAC region locations. The position plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, as well as harmonizing, implementing, and maintaining TAIT’s People Operations practices within these regions. It ensures process consistency, data integrity, and compliance with applicable labor laws and global TAIT standards.
The role is execution-focused and works in close collaboration with People Operations, TAIT PBPs, Payroll, Benefits, Immigration, Legal, and Employee Relations teams, as well as other cross-functional stakeholders, to drive seamless operational delivery and a high-quality employee experience.
Key responsibilities:
HR Operations:

Serve as the primary People Team contact for the APAC and MENA offices, providing day‑to‑day support to managers and employees on People policies, processes, and general inquiries.

Support the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, pre‑boarding, onboarding, internal movements, benefits, general employees’ questions, trainings, offboarding, and personnel transitions.
- Review, refine, and implement harmonized TAIT People Operations processes within the regions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with TAIT’s standards.

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee data and personnel files, maintaining all employment‑related documents in compliance with TAIT policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare a variety of employment documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, employment‑status change letters, employment verifications, performance‑related forms, offboarding documents, and other People‑related documentation as needed.

Process HR system updates for all employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, position changes, promotions, compensation adjustments, and separations, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.

Implement and administer TAIT’s time-tracking, time‑off and leave‑management policies and processes, ensuring accurate tracking, timely approvals, and compliance with company standards and applicable labor regulations.

Ensure compliance with local labor laws, escalating issues as appropriate and maintaining up‑to‑date documentation practices.
- Contribute to People Team projects and continuous improvement efforts, including process standardization, policy updates, employee experience initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Maintain a welcoming, high‑support employee experience, ensuring employees receive timely, accurate, and empathetic support.
Business Partnering:

Support managers on employee relations, performance management, and People policies.

Provide practical HR guidance and ensure consistent application of global frameworks.

Act as a local point of contact for people-related matters.
Compensation & Benefits:

Administer local benefits programs in coordination with Global Compensation and Benefits managers.

Support annual processes (merit review, bonus, etc.) from an execution perspective.

Ensure accurate data handling and documentation.
Payroll & Data Support:

Provide HR data inputs to Payroll manager.

Partner with Payroll manager to ensure data accuracy and timely processing.
Relocation:

Together with Global Relocation and Global Operations support short- & long-term assignments for the region.
Recruitment:

Support interview coordination and hiring processes

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition (no ownership of recruitment)
Additional responsibilities – TAIT Global (USA) People Operations
- Provide support to the broader TAIT People Operations function, assisting other TAIT Global locations and offices as capacity and business needs allow.
- Actively participate in TAIT People Team projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements, harmonization efforts, and cross‑functional collaboration across the global People Operations network.
Qualifications/Experience
To successfully perform the essential responsibilities of the role, individuals must possess the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. In addition, the role requires the following certifications, knowledge, skills, and where applicable, physical requirements necessary for the position.
Experience - Knowledge and Skills:

English and Japanese Fluency
-
7+ years of experience in HR Operations (administration) or in an HR Manager/Generalist role, with hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle.

Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements across Japan, China, Hong Kong, and MENA regions.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms, preferably ADP or similar systems.

Fluency in Japanese and English is required.

Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus.
