EARTHBRAINのAIチームは、点群認識・3Dモデリング・重機の経路計画など高度な研究開発を推進してきました。無人化施工の技術はここ数年で急速に進化し、アルゴリズムの高度化・シミュレーション環境の整備が大きく進んでいます。
しかし、自律制御の精度を実機レベルで高めるためには、「制御アルゴリズムの性能はモデルの精度に依存する」という根本的な課題があります。どれほど優れた制御アルゴリズムを実装しても、建機の動特性を正確にとらえたモデルがなければ、実機では意図通りに動きません。日々の開発・検証を重ねる中で、この システム同定・モデル推定 領域の専門性が制御精度向上のボトルネックであることが明確になってきました。
EARTHBRAINはいま、この領域のさらなる深化を担う専門人材を必要としています。制御精度を次のレベルへ引き上げるために、本ポジションを新設します。
システム同定・モデル構築
- ブルドーザー等の建機を対象とした実機データ収集の設計・実施（センサー設計、周期設計、データパイプライン整備）
- 収集データをもとにした状態空間モデル（A, B行列）の推定・検証
- 統計的フィッティングによるモデルパラメータの最適化
- AGX Dynamics / NVIDIA IsaacSim等の物理シミュレーターを用いたモデル精度の検証
制御アルゴリズムの開発・改善
- 高度なモデル予測制御（MPC等）をはじめとする、自律制御アルゴリズムの実装・チューニング ※入社時はLQR等、状態空間表現を用いた最適制御の基礎知識があれば可
- コスト関数（Q/R行列）の設計と最適化
- カルマンフィルタ等の状態推定モジュールの実装・改善
チーム横断の技術連携
- 実機検証時の実験設計・データ収集・結果分析のリード
- 制御アルゴリズムの実装ノウハウのチーム内展開・ナレッジ共有
- AIチームと連携した実験環境・データパイプラインの整備
◆ 制御工学の理論的背景
- 状態空間モデル（状態方程式・観測方程式）の理解と実装経験
- 状態空間表現を用いた最適制御（LQR、LQG等）の設計および実装経験
- カルマンフィルタ等の状態推定の理論的理解と実装経験

- C++による制御系・リアルタイム処理の実装経験（必須）
- Pythonによる制御系実装（casadi / acados / scipy等いずれか）
- システム同定・Model Estimationの実務経験（3年以上目安）

EARTHBRAIN's AI team has built deep expertise in point cloud recognition, 3D modeling, and autonomous heavy equipment path planning. Over recent years, our autonomous construction capabilities have advanced significantly — with more sophisticated algorithms and increasingly mature simulation environments.
However, a fundamental challenge remains: the performance of any control algorithm is only as good as the model underneath it. No matter how advanced the control implementation, it cannot achieve real-machine precision without an accurate model of the machine's dynamics. Through our day-to-day development and validation work, it has become clear that expertise in system identification and model estimation is the primary bottleneck limiting our control accuracy in real-world conditions.
EARTHBRAIN is now looking for a specialist to drive the next level of depth in this domain. This position is newly created to raise our control accuracy to the next stage.
System Identification & Model Building
- Design and execute real-machine data collection for bulldozers and other construction equipment (sensor design, sampling frequency, data pipeline setup)
- Estimate and validate state-space models (A, B matrices) from collected sensor data
- Optimize model parameters through statistical fitting
- Validate model accuracy using high-fidelity physical simulators (AGX Dynamics / NVIDIA IsaacSim)
Control Algorithm Development & Improvement
- Implement and tune advanced model predictive control (MPC and beyond) for autonomous construction equipment ※Candidates with foundational knowledge of optimal control using state-space representation (LQR, etc.) are welcome
- Design and optimize cost functions (Q/R matrices)
- Implement and improve state estimation modules (Kalman filters and variants)
Cross-team Technical Collaboration
- Lead experiment design, data collection, and result analysis during real-machine validation
- Share control algorithm implementation knowledge within the team
- Collaborate with the AI team on experimental environments and data pipeline infrastructure
◆ Control Engineering Foundation
- Understanding and implementation experience with state-space models (state and observation equations)
- Design and implementation experience with optimal control using state-space representation (LQR, LQG, etc.)
- Theoretical understanding and implementation of Kalman filters or equivalent state estimators
◆ Implementation Skills
- C++ for control systems and real-time processing (required)
- Python-based control implementation (casadi / acados / scipy or equivalent)
- 3+ years of hands-on system identification / model estimation experience
◆ Simulation & Validation
- Control validation with physical simulators (AGX Dynamics / NVIDIA IsaacSim / Gazebo or equivalent)
- Real-machine control implementation in robotics, automotive, or industrial equipment
- General vehicle dynamics knowledge (understanding of standard vehicle models)
- Sampling-based predictive control or advanced nonlinear MPC implementation experience (including integration with IsaacSim)
- GPU / CUDA parallel computing for control algorithm acceleration
- Hybrid control design combining reinforcement learning and MPC (end-to-end + MPC)
- Robot system development experience with ROS
- Control design and prototyping with MATLAB / Simscape
- Nonlinear system identification or Nonlinear MPC (NMPC) implementation
- Vehicle control in specialized environments: construction, agriculture, space rovers, etc.
- Ability to communicate technical topics in English

You will work closely with both the autonomous control development team and the AI team, with direct access to expertise spanning control theory, machine learning, and real-machine validation.
