Position

Job Title : Senior Manager, Marketing and Communication
Company : Givenchy Japan, LVMH Fashion Group Japan K.K.

Job responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Management

Formulate and lead a 360° marketing and communication strategy for Japan that reinforces Givenchy’s positioning as a modern luxury Maison rooted in couture, creativity, and bold elegance, while ensuring strong local relevance.
Translate global brand priorities into locally resonant, business-impacting initiatives that increase brand desirability, visibility, and client engagement across all touchpoints.
Identify market opportunities through consumer, competitor, and category analysis, and recommend strategic actions to strengthen Givenchy’s share of voice and share of market in Japan.
Define and monitor KPIs across brand awareness, earned media impact, client acquisition, event productivity, CRM engagement, store traffic, and omnichannel performance.
Lead budget allocation with a clear focus on ROI, brand equity, and commercial contribution, ensuring disciplined investment choices in a selective market environment.
Anticipate reputational risks and lead crisis communication planning in a way that protects the Maison’s image, values, and long-term desirability.

Public Relations & Media Relations

Build and elevate Givenchy’s presence with top-tier fashion, luxury, lifestyle, business, and cultural media to secure high-quality, image-consistent visibility.
Drive a PR strategy that balances brand heat, editorial credibility, and cultural relevance, rather than volume alone.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with editors, stylists, celebrities, VIPs, and opinion leaders who can authentically amplify the Maison’s image in Japan.
Oversee product and corporate communications across women’s and men’s universes, ensuring consistent storytelling, strong visual execution, and alignment with global brand expression.
Supervise sample trafficking and media placements with strong quality control to protect brand image and maximize impact.
Strengthen celebrity/VIP visibility and seeding strategy to support desirability and social conversation around the Maison.

Advertising & Digital Marketing

Lead integrated media and digital strategies that enhance brand desirability, audience relevance, and conversion potential, while preserving Givenchy’s premium and selective image.
Oversee local SNS and digital content strategy in alignment with global guidelines, ensuring that all executions reflect the Maison’s tone, aesthetics, and creative authority.
Partner closely with E-commerce and CRM teams to connect brand storytelling with client recruitment, retention, repeat engagement, and omnichannel client journey development.
Drive influencer/KOL strategy with a highly curated approach, prioritizing quality, brand fit, and cultural impact over scale.
Ensure all paid, owned, and earned touchpoints work cohesively to support launches, retail priorities, and key business moments.
Increase focus on performance visibility and actionable insights, using data to optimize campaign efficiency without compromising brand elevation.

Event Management

Conceptualize and lead high-impact brand experiences for press, VICs/VIPs, clients, and prospects that express Givenchy’s identity with sophistication, exclusivity, and modernity.
Ensure events are not only image-building but also contribute to client engagement, recruitment, retention, and retail activation.
Oversee all event-related planning and execution, including concept, guest strategy, venue, production, budget, and post-event analysis.
Develop event formats that create stronger local buzz and client intimacy, especially in support of key launches, retail moments, and top-client engagement.

Profile

Mission Statement:
Responsible for shaping and elevating Givenchy’s brand desirability and cultural relevance in Japan through integrated marketing and communication strategies aligned with the Maison’s global vision and business priorities. In close partnership with Paris Headquarters and local cross-functional teams, this role leads PR, Digital, Events, and CRM to strengthen brand equity, recruit and engage high-value clients, drive store traffic and omnichannel performance, and support sustainable market share growth in a highly competitive luxury landscape.

Reporting Structure: Report to President, Givenchy Japan

Additional Main Responsibilities:
Global & Cross-functional Collaboration
• Act as a strategic bridge between Japan and Paris Headquarters, ensuring that local initiatives remain fully aligned with global brand direction while addressing the realities of the Japanese luxury market.

Lead constructive dialogue with HQ to advocate for local needs, business opportunities, and market-specific adaptations with clarity and influence.
Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Merchandising, E-commerce, CRM, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure communication strategies are fully connected to business priorities and execution realities.
Bring sharper local market intelligence to HQ, including competitor activity, client behavior shifts, media dynamics, and opportunities to reinforce Givenchy’s relevance in Japan.

Others

Serve as a key strategic partner to the President on brand positioning, market visibility, and business-driving communication priorities in Japan.
Own the overall marketing communication budget with strong governance, transparency, and performance tracking.
