【組織について】
オリンパスのIT部門は、グローバルな医療機器企業をテクノロジーで支える専門組織であり、500人以上のプロフェッショナルが世界5地域で活躍しています。
本社機能としては、事業戦略からセキュリティ領域まで6つのファンクションに分かれ、それぞれがITを活用してオリンパスの事業をサポートしています。
2019年からは、「真のグローバル・メディカル・テクノロジーカンパニー（メドテックカンパニー）」への飛躍を目指す変革プラン「Transform Olympus」を掲げており、日本発でグローバルに活動することが強く求められています。
担当職種の内容
（雇入れ直後）
ビジネス・リレーションシップ・マネージャー（BRM）は、R&D（研究開発）ビジネスドメインにおけるIT戦略を策定し、そのオーナーとして主導します。また、本領域において行われるIT投資の価値を最大化することに対して、説明責任および実行責任を負います。
BRMの主な目的は、全ての地域および事業部門にわたって、R&DドメインにおけるIT投資に対するビジネス需要を効果的に喚起し、形成し、管理し、最終的に実現することです。これには、R&Dと製造（Manufacturing）、品質保証（Quality Assurance）との間に存在する依存関係や、共通する横断的なニーズへの対応も含まれます。
エグゼクティブを含むビジネスリーダーの視点から見ると、BRMはIT組織に対するビジネスユニットの最前線の代表者であり、代弁者です。一方、IT組織の視点では、BRMはIT組織の戦略家、コーディネーター、主任アドボケート、マーケター、そしてコミュニケーターとしての役割を担います。 BRMは、IT組織におけるビジネス顧客との密接な関係構築を促進し、経営層を含むすべてのビジネスステークホルダーと、相互に補完し合い、整合の取れた関係を継続的に構築・発展させていきます。
具体的には下記です。
戦略・ロードマップ策定、デマンドマネジメントおよびデリバリー
・R&DドメインにおけるグローバルIT戦略を策定・立案し、そのオーナーとして主導・推進する（プロダクト・ポートフォリオ・マネジメントを含み、製造、品質保証、薬事／レギュラトリー部門と緊密に連携）
・全ての地域および事業部門にわたり、R&DドメインにおけるIT投資に対するビジネス需要を喚起・形成・管理する.ビジネスニーズに最適なアプローチを選定するとともに、他ドメインとの依存関係（リスクおよび機会）を管理する。また、優先順位付けされた需要を、妥当なITソリューションおよび明確に定義されたプロジェクトへと落とし込み（適切なスコープ設定および明確なベネフィット定義を含む）
・対象ドメインに関連するITシステムについて、ビジネス・キャパシティ・モデルおよびシステムランドスケープの中長期ロードマップを策定・維持し、データマネジメントおよびエンタープライズアーキテクチャのロードマップと整合させる。必要に応じて、グローバル規模でのRFP（提案依頼）、分析、評価、提言、およびベンダー選定・実行をリードする
・ビジネスのミッション、計画、優先事項をアプリケーションドメインおよび関連するIT機能へと的確に伝達・調整・連携し、ITデリバリー組織と連携して、適切な支援体制を計画・提供する。
・プロジェクト実行中は、Solution DeliveryおよびInfrastructure & Service Deliveryチームと密接に連携し、ITデリバリーの成果に対する説明責任を担う。プロジェクト完了後は、学習および改善レビューのプロセスを確立し、ビジネス価値創出の継続的な向上を図る。
・ビジネスの期待および新たな技術的機会に対応するため、IT組織に必要となる新たなケイパビリティを特定する。併せて、IT組織内においてR&Dの基礎的理解を向上させる活動を推進する。
ステークホルダーマネジメントおよび関係構築
・エグゼクティブ層およびその直属の部下に対してコーチングを行い、デジタルリテラシーおよびプロジェクトマネジメント成熟度の向上を継続的に支援する。ビジネス成果の向上につながるテクノロジーニーズおよび要件を明確に表現できるよう支援するとともに、AI等の最新技術動向やR&D領域における市場成功事例を積極的に共有する
・IT組織のチーフ・アドボケートとして、Lead BRMを支援し、ドメイン担当エグゼクティブに対して影響力を発揮する。エンタープライズアーキテクチャやインフラ／アプリケーション戦略など、ITの目標と整合したプロジェクトについて理解・支持・適切な予算確保がなされるよう働きかける。また、ITの計画や変更点、およびそれらがビジネスの業績や計画に与える影響について、ビジネス側へ適切に共有する
・ITサービスデリバリーに対する満足度を評価するため、社内VoC（Voice of Internal Customer）プロセスを運営し、改善点を特定する。ITおよびビジネス部門双方における改善を通じて、ITプロジェクトおよびサービスから提供される価値のさらなる向上を図る。

【Role Overview】
（Immediately after hiring）
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will create, own, and drive the IT Strategy for the R&D Business Domain. They will be accountable and responsible for maximizing the value of the related IT investment made in this area.
The primary purpose of the BRM is to effectively stimulate, shape, manage and realize the business demand for the IT investment in the R&D Domain across all geographies and business units. It will also encompass the dependencies and common transversal needs between R&D and respectively Manufacturing, Quality Assurance.
From the perspective of the executive business leaders, the BRM is the business unit's frontline representative and advocate to the IT organization. From the perspective of the IT organization, the BRM is the IT organization's strategist, coordinator, chief advocate, marketer and communicator. The BRM will foster business customer intimacy in IT and continuously develop a symbiotic and aligned relationship with all the business stakeholders at Executive Level and below.
【Key Responsibilities】
Strategy & Roadmap Definition, Demand Management and Delivery
・Plan, develop, own, and drive a global wide IT strategy for the R&D domain (including Product Portfolio Management and in tight liaison with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance & Regulatory).
・Foster, shape and manage the business demand for the IT investment in the R&D domain across all geographies and business units. Select the appropriate approach to meet the business's needs, as well as manage dependencies (both risks and opportunities) between other domains. Ensure that the prioritized demand is translated into valid IT solutions and clearly defined projects
(appropriate scoping and clear benefits definition).
・Establishes and maintains multi-year roadmap of the Business Capacity Model & the System Landscape for IT systems related to Domains in scope; synchronizes it with Data Management and Enterprise Architecture roadmaps. Identify and run the required global wide requests for proposals, analysis, recommendations, and execution with vendors.
・Communicate, coordinate, connect the business mission, plans and priorities to the application domains and related IT functions, and engage with the IT delivery organization(s) to plan and provide appropriate support.
・Once projects are in flight, the BRM will be accountable to satisfy IT delivery working closely with Solution Delivery and Infra & Service Delivery team. After project completion, establish a learning & improvement review process to continuously enhance business value generation.
・Identify the new capabilities required in IT organization to satisfy the business expectations and new technological opportunities. Raise in the IT organization the understanding of the R&D fundamentals
Stakeholder Management & Relationship Development
・Coach executive business stakeholders and their direct reports, continuously raise digital literacy and project management maturity; enable them to articulate technology needs and requirements that will advance business performance; proactively share technology advancements (AI etc) and market success stories in R&D Domain.
・As the IT organization's chief advocate, support the Lead BRM in informing and influencing the domain executives so that they understand, support, and adequately fund projects that are in concert with IT goals, such as enterprise architecture and the infrastructure/application strategy. Notify the business of IT plans and changes, and their impact on business performance or plans.
・Run an internal VoC process (Voice of Internal Customer) to evaluate levels of satisfaction with the IT service delivery and to identify improvements required in IT/Business Units in order to further increase the value delivered by IT projects and services.

学歴（Education）
・コンピュータサイエンス、経営学、またはこれらに準ずる分野における学士号以上 （同等の知識・経験を有する場合も可）
・BRM Institute認定資格を保有していれば尚可
経験（Experience）
・複数の地域を対象としたR&Dドメインにおいて、ジェネラルマネージャーまたはシニアITコンサルタントとして7年以上の実務経験
・R&D環境における大規模な業務プロセス改革およびシステム変革を主導した経験 （例：PLM、製品設計・開発、要求管理、プロダクト・ポートフォリオ・マネジメント、CAD など）
・医療業界における5年以上の経験 （コンサルティング会社、またはライフサイエンス／ヘルスケア企業での直接経験いずれも可）
・ソリューションコンサルティングおよびプロジェクト実行の双方における経験
・医療業界におけるデジタル技術を活用した新たな顧客向けソリューション創出の実績
・価値創出およびデマンドプランニングに関する5年以上の経験 （デザインシンキング、バリューストリームマッピング、ビジネス・ケイパビリティ・モデリングの経験があれば尚可）
・R&Dドメインにおける主要な業務プロセス、KPI、ベストプラクティス、ならびにビジネスおよび技術トレンドに関する高い実務理解

Education
・Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration (or equivalent and related experience).
・BRM Institute Certification would be a plus (not mandatory).
Experience
・Minimum 7 years of experience as a General Manager or Senior IT Consultant in R&D Domain across multiple geographies.
・Solid experience in driving large-scale process change and system change in R&D environment. Example: PLM, Product Design & Development,
Requirements Management, Product Portfolio Management, CAD.
・At least 5years in the Medical industry, either in a Consulting Company or directly in a LifeScience Healthcare Company
・Experience of both solution consulting and project execution.
・Proven experience of new digital-driven customer solutions in the Medical industry
・Minimum 5 years of experience in value creation and demand planning activities. Experience of Design Thinking, Value Stream Mapping,
Business Capability modelling would be a plus.
・Strong working understanding of major business processes, key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business, and technology trends in R&D Domain.
・Experience in successfully managing Executive stakeholders in multiple geographies and cultures.
