Greenvolt is seeking a skilled Commercial Associate to support the Commercial Manager in executing commercial activities for renewable energy (PV/BESS) project acquisitions and divestments, and assist in opportunity sourcing, initial screening, due diligence coordination, investor communication, and documentation preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inorganic Acquisition Support

Collect project information from developers, brokers, and partners.

Prepare initial screening materials (FIP status, capacity, land, grid, permits).

Compile basic commercial assessments and share updates with internal teams.

Coordinate with development, technical, legal, and finance teams as needed.
2. Due Diligence Coordination

Support NDA execution and data room setup.

Prepare DD question lists and consolidate investor/partner Q&A.

Coordinate with internal departments and external advisors.

Summarize key findings for review by the Commercial Manager.
3. Asset Sale Support

Manage data room uploads and version control.

Act as the initial point of contact for investor Q&A.

Prepare internal and external documentation related to the sale process.

Support investor presentations and participate in meetings when required.
4. Deal Execution Support

Draft basic documents such as LOIs, Term Sheets, and meeting minutes.

Schedule meetings and maintain communication logs.

Assist with contract review alongside internal legal teams.

Track deliverables and ensure timely follow-up with counterparties.
Requirements

4–7 years of relevant experience.

Experience in the renewable energy sector (PV or BESS) is mandatory.

Working level understanding of DD processes and project development.

English: Advanced reading/writing (contract review assistance and email communication).

Japanese: Native level.

Excel: Ability to run sensitivity analyses and make minor model adjustments.

Strong PowerPoint and Word skills for professional documentation.

Experience engaging with investors, developers, EPCs, aggregators, financial institutions, or advisors.
- Familiarity with M&A, project finance, and commercial negotiation processes.
- Basic understanding of tax and accounting concepts relevant to M&A and project transactions.
- Experience operating VDRs.
- Ability to draft clear, concise business documents in both Japanese and English.
- Strong execution capability with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and analyze multi-source information.
- Effective internal and external coordination skills.
- High level of accountability and reliability.
