We’re looking for a baker/pastry chef to help us bring our bakery café to life in Nozawa Onsen, Nagano
We’re opening a café / bakery / coffee roastery in the beautiful Japanese Alps and we’re searching for an experienced baker to help us set up and lead the kitchen through our first winter season.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who genuinely cares about good food, enjoys working as part of a team and is excited by the idea of helping build something from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
- Helping design and organise kitchen processes and workflow for a busy winter season
- Creating and refining baked goods and recipes
- Working closely with us to shape the bakery and build it's identity as we grow
- Bringing creativity, consistency, and attention to detail into the kitchen
Who we're looking for
- Experience as Baker/Pastry chef required. Willing to sponsor to a work visa for someone with 10+ years bakery experience or culinary qualifications
- Friendly, organised and easy to work with
- Is hardworking, reliable and calm under pressure
- Has a creative mindset and passionate about making quality food
