We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team based in Tokyo,
Japan. The ideal candidate will have a background in video surveillance systems and
cloud-based technologies. This role is essential in supporting our sales efforts by providing technical expertise, solution design, and customer guidance.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales, building and managing pipelines, advancing opportunities, and supporting deal closures. You will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager, as well as our channel partners, ensuring all deals are successfully executed through our partner network. This position offers flexibility for professionals with varying levels of experience, with responsibilities tailored to your background. You will be engaging with a diverse range of clients, from SMB to large enterprise accounts.
Pre-Sales & Technical Expertise
- Provide technical expertise to customers, partners, and internal sales teams
- Deliver product demonstrations (online and in-person)
- Support evaluations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and pilot programs.
- Assist in responding to RFPs and technical queries.
Solution Design
- Design solutions based on customer requirements
- Advise on system architecture (hardware, cloud, integrations)
- Work with partners to ensure successful implementation
Partner Collaboration
- Support and train channel partners and resellers
- Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders
- Act as a trusted technical advisor
Must-Have
- 2–5 years of experience in a technical sales role (e.g., (Pre-) Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar)
- Business-level Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, IP-based systems)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with video surveillance, physical security, or SaaS/cloud platforms
- Experience working with partners or customers in a technical capacity
- Interest in security and cloud technologies
