Position Overview
As a Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, and operate our cloud-based energy platform and related services.
You will collaborate with an international engineering team where English is the primary working language. Japanese language is not required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based backend services
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Reduce technical debt and continuously enhance existing systems
- Build, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Improve development workflows through automation and engineering best practices
- Conduct code reviews and support other engineers

Required Qualifications
- Professional experience developing web applications using C# and ASP.NET Core
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server
- Experience using Entity Framework Core or similar ORM frameworks
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Experience developing applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Experience implementing automated testing
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong English communication skills for software development
- Japanese language skills are not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure infrastructure design and Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, or CQRS
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React
- Ability to independently research and learn from English technical documentation
