仕事内容：
・非臨床研究データ、薬剤の作用メカニズムおよび競合環境などに基づき、患者集団の選定や有効性評価指標の構築を通じた臨床バイオマーカー戦略の立案・推進
・臨床バイオマーカー戦略立案に向けた、外部（国内外Key Opinion Leader、治験実施医師、海外提携企業等）との共同研究およびトランスレーショナル研究の企画・推進
・臨床試験やトランスレーショナル研究から得られるデータを統合的に解釈し、疾患・薬剤理解の深化および創薬・開発戦略への提言
・グループ会社であるRoche社（スイス）やGenentech社（米国）のカウンターパートとのコミュニーケーション
・最新の科学技術を活用した新規バイオマーカー測定・解析プラットフォームの探索、評価および導入推進

Background to recruitment:
Recent advances in drug development have highlighted the importance of deep understanding of disease biology and drug mechanisms in translating scientific insights into meaningful value for patients.
Biomarkers play a critical role in bridging disease and drug understanding with clinical development. Leveraging translational research and biomarker science, we are committed to maximizing the value of our pipeline assets by identifying the right patients, addressing unmet medical needs, and differentiating our therapies in an increasingly competitive environment.
To further accelerate these efforts, we are seeking a talented scientist who can drive development strategies and support critical decision-making across a broad range of stages, from early discovery research through clinical development, based on a strong scientific understanding of disease biology.
Description of work:
・Develop and drive clinical biomarker strategies, including patient stratification approaches and efficacy endpoints, based on non-clinical research findings, mechanisms of action, and competitive landscape assessments.
・Design and lead translational research initiatives and external collaborations with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and global partners to support biomarker strategy development.
・Integrate and interpret data generated from clinical studies and translational research to advance understanding of disease biology and therapeutic mechanisms, and to inform drug discovery and development strategies.
・Collaborate closely with global partners, including Roche (Switzerland) and Genentech (USA), to drive project objectives and align scientific strategies.
・Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative biomarker measurement and analytical platforms utilizing cutting-edge scientific technologies.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills :
・Skills to understand non-clinical biology or pharmacology data and/or clinical data of a drug, and explain research results to others in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
・Ability to build collaborative relationships and networks with experts across diverse scientific disciplines
・Communication skills in English (Reading/Writing/Listening/Speaking)
