Appendix
1. The Laboratory of Ecological and Environmental Physics constitutes the Research Group of Bioresource and
Environmental Engineering, together with five other laboratories, namely, Land and Water Management, Soil
Conservation, Vehicle Robotics, Agricultural and Food Process Engineering, and Agricultural Bio-System
Engineering.
2. The successful applicant will partly or fully give the lectures listed below, for which the Laboratory of Ecological
and Environmental Physics is responsible. The laboratory participates in “the Global Education Program for
AgriScience Frontiers” and also provides education only in English.
(1) Subjects in the Graduate School of Agriculture: Advanced Regional Environment I and II, Study on
Agricultural Science I & II, Seminar on Agricultural Science I & II, and others.
(2) Subjects in the School of Agriculture: Ecological and Environmental Physics, Agricultural Meteorology,
Seminar in Bioresource and Environmental Engineering I-IV, Graduation Thesis, and others.
(3) Subjects in general education: Environment and People, and others.
3. The Laboratory of Ecological and Environmental Physics conducts comprehensive education and research from
agricultural, meteorological, and ecological perspectives. To contribute to the quantification of environmental
impact on ecosystem functions, sustainable agricultural production, and the conservation of natural ecosystems,
the laboratory monitors and models ecosystem dynamics and agricultural meteorology, and develops
technology for measuring ecological information. Currently, the laboratory is consisted of one Professor (who
will retire in March 2027) and two lecturers as faculty members.
4. The Diversity and Inclusion Promotion Headquarters of our university is implementing various initiatives in
addition to the project to subsidize the employment costs of technical assistants as shown in the attached document.
