Since 1962, Air Liquide Advanced Technologies (ALAT) affiliates are recognized for their leading expertise in gas processing (gas treatment, separation, refrigeration, liquefaction, analysis and control, storage and distribution), serving various high technology markets: space, aeronautics, marine, large scientific instruments, electronics, energy transition, and more.
Japan is one of the key pioneering countries for the deployment of those technologies and Air Liquide Advanced Technologies Japan is currently executing Projects of H2 refueling station (HRS) for passenger cars and buses, as well as diverse cryogenic (CRYO) engineering projects, with active plans to further expand its combined portfolio in both fields.
Within the division ALAT Japan is responsible for the design and the production of clean energy solutions, focusing on hydrogen infrastructure (hydrogen refueling stations for cars, buses, trucks; hydrogen production and treatment for semiconductor production) and cryogenic equipment (helium liquefaction units, helium refrigeration units, liquefied gas storage and distribution systems) for research institutes in material research, fusion and quantum computing. ALAT Japan design, produce, and sell the equipment or facilities' solutions, provide related engineering and post sale services in Japan and in Korea to external and internal customers.

Role Overview / 職務概要
As an Electrical and Control Systems Engineer, you will drive technical studies and design development for hydrogen and cryogenic projects from product development through detailed design, construction, and final commissioning.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and Design Authorities, you will ensure project documentation meets all schedule and quality standards, and that delivered solutions comply with technical specifications and local regulations.
Beyond project execution, you will interface with internal and external stakeholders to support on-site startup, operations troubleshooting, and after-sales maintenance services for existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities / 主な職責
- Design & Development: Lead electrical and control systems engineering from product development through execution phases for hydrogen and cryogenic facilities.
- Compliance & Quality: Control technical documentation to ensure all deliverables align with project timelines, quality standards, technical specifications, and local regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key technical liaison between internal teams, external partners, and clients during all project phases.
- Operational & After-Sales Support: Support on-site pre-commissioning/startup and provide engineering-level troubleshooting and maintenance support for operational facilities.

1. Product Development & Proposals / 製品開発および提案業務
- Work with Product, Technology, and Project Engineering Managers in validating technical specifications to ensure the development of safe and reliable hydrogen and cryogenic products.
- Communication with the Group technical organization (in Japan and overseas), specifically collaborating for control standards and PLC software logic alignment.
- Communication with local suppliers, contractors and control panel fabricators for the development of technical solutions and for obtaining budgetary quotations matching Japanese domestic standards.
- Support the preparation of technical deliverables and engineering packages for project proposals.
- Assist in developing detailed cost estimations for project proposals (E&I part).

2. Project Execution Phase / プロジェクト実行フェーズ
- Work with project team in delivering safe and reliable hydrogen and cryogenic solutions in compliance with product specifications and contractual requirements:
- Prepare, maintain, and control the master project technical documentation and deliverables list.
- Create and update core engineering drawings and documents, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), instrumentation lists, I/O lists, instrument specifications, and control phylosophy/control system specifications.
- Lead and participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders, and track the implementation of resulting action items.
- Prepare technical specifications for Requests for Quotation (RFQ) related to electrical/control systems equipment purchases and electrical installation contracts.
- Conduct technical clarification meetings with vendors/subcontractors and perform rigorous technical bid evaluations.
- Monitor vendor design document submissions, facilitate internal reviews, and track manufacturing progress.
- Participate in final inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for mechanical and packaged equipment, and lead the FAT for electrical and control systems.
- Support the compilation of electrical and instrumentation design dossiers required for permitting activities, ensuring component selections comply with the Japanese High-Pressure Gas Safety Act and domestic explosion-proof standards (TIIS certification).
- Assist in developing pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures and operational manuals.
- Ensure all design modifications (MOC) are strictly controlled and effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
- Support the Project Execution Team for the administration of Vendor's POs and managing customer contract milestones, while taking physical ownership of on-site construction oversight by directly supervising electrical subcontractors for instrumentation loops, cable tray routing, and local control panel installation
- Lead the Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical and control systems.

- ベンダーの設計図書の提出状況の監視、社内レビューの推進、および製造進捗の追跡を行う。
- 機械・パッケージ機器の最終検査および工場出荷前検査（FAT）に立ち会うとともに、電気・制御システムにおけるFATを主導する。
- 許認可手続きや関連当局（KHK等）への申請に必要な電気・計装分野の設計技術図書の作成を支援し、選定機器が日本の高圧ガス保安法および国内の防爆規格（TIIS認証）に準拠していることを確実にする。
- 試運転前準備・本試運転の手順書および操作マニュアルの策定に参加する。
- 設計変更（MOC）が厳格に管理され、すべてのステークホルダーに適時適切に伝達されていることを確実にする。
- プロジェクト実行チームを支援し、ベンダーへの発注書（PO）管理、顧客契約のマイルストーン管理を行う。同時に、現場での施工管理を主体的に担い、電気下請業者を直接監督して、計装ループ、ケーブルトレイの敷設、ローカル制御盤の設置を確認・管理する。
- 電気・制御システムにおける現地受入試験（SAT）を主導する。
3. Post-Project Phase / プロジェクト完了後フェーズ
- Participate in the project capitalization process (Lessons Learned) to drive continuous improvement in products, services, and engineering standards.
- Provide technical support to the commissioning and maintenance teams for site upgrades, operational follow-ups, and engineering-level troubleshooting.
