Key Responsibilities
Creative & Operational Excellence
- Project Lifecycle: Manage design assignments from initial brief and conceptualization through to final artwork with accuracy and professionalism.
- Execution: Deliver creative outputs that strictly meet budget, scheduling, and brief requirements.
- Strategic Input: Contribute innovative ideas during project planning and proactively suggest workflow optimizations to improve speed and quality.
- Brand Integrity: Ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality and remain perfectly aligned with specific client brand guidelines.
Client & Team Experience
- Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings to decipher and accurately translate project requirements into actionable designs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with the Account Team and Project Managers to resolve project challenges and ensure smooth transitions.
- Mentorship & Ownership: Take full ownership of project outcomes while fostering a positive, adaptable team environment.
Business Growth
- Profitability: Support company profitability by executing design tasks in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
- Market Insight: Utilize an understanding of the client's industry and products to identify opportunities for additional creative solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor’s Degree) in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, or Package Design.
- Experience: 3–5 years of Graphic Design experience within a Creative Design or Advertising agency.
- Technical Expertise: Proven portfolio in Packaging Design, specifically within the FMCG sector.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Japanese packaging aesthetics ("flair"), trends, and local production standards.
- Project Management: Strong grasp of the end-to-end design process—from receiving the brief to the final artwork (FA) stage.
- Language: Native-level Japanese proficiency is required; Business-level English is highly preferred to engage with global stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Location: Must be comfortable working from our Minato, Tokyo office under a hybrid arrangement.
