業務内容
「エリアマネージャー」には、他業種・職種も含めこれまでの経験、スキルを活かし、改善点を模索しながら、先進テクノロジーと「People First」の考え方で、各種プロジェクトをリードやピープルマネージメントを行っていただきます。また、「エリアマネージャー」は部署内の一つの工程を担当し、上司の示す部署全体の方針や安全・品質・生産性の年間目標に沿って、担当工程における改善を積み重ね、日々の計画、進捗、実績管理に責任をもち活動いただきます。
具体的な業務は以下の通りです。
① チームメンバーの育成とサポート
現場の最前線にいるマネージャーとしてチームメンバーと積極的に関わり、メンバーからの意見に基づく職場改善によりエンゲージメントを高めます。また、数名から数十名のチームのマネージャーとして、業務上の知識・スキル、アマゾンカルチャー等の指導を行うことはもちろん、部下の悩みに傾聴し、問題の解決に向けて自ら動きます。さらに、部下の勤怠や労働時間等の把握、管理を適切に行います。
② 担当プロセスの安全・品質・作業効率の向上
マネージャーはそれぞれ特定のプロセスを担当し、そのプロセスの安全・品質・作業効率の向上をリードします。日々の安全活動、品質チェックに加え、作業環境の改善、トレーニングの進捗管理など多岐にわたる改善活動が該当します。問題を特定し、対策を立案し、チームメンバーを巻き込みながら実行に移し、結果を出していくことが求められます。
③ 日々のオペレーション対応
TCはAmazonの豊富な品揃えと最適な在庫プレースメントを実現する為の巨大な物流拠点です。商品を入荷、注文があった履歴を根拠に適切なFCに商品を出荷するという一連の流れの中で計画を立案し管理していただきます。日々のオペレーションにおいてお客様にお約束した納期を確実に守るため、物量の上振れや下振れ、急な労働力不足、システムトラブル等の変動要素に際し、適切に判断して対応していくことが求められます。
④ プロジェクトリーダーとして改善を推進
Amazonでは日々改善が推進されています。エリアマネージャーは通常業務と並行して、安全上のリスクや生産性を改善するプロジェクトのリーダーとしてFC内の年次/月次プロジェクト活動を推進します。これらのプロジェクトにおいては関連部署との協業や、ファミリーデイ（社員の家族をFCに招待する会）等のFCのイベントに実行委員として参画することも含まれます。
働き方
・勤務形態：1ヶ月単位の変形労働時間制のシフト勤務。
・勤務時間：1日8時間勤務、1ヶ月を平均して1週間40時間を超えない範囲で設定します。
・休日：年間120日（月平均10日）
※日勤を中心とした夜勤含む23シフトで会社が決定します。配属部署や繫忙期によっては、夜勤割合に違いがあります。その際は日勤・夜勤シフトの間に必ず公休を挟み、負担が少ないよう配慮しています。拠点によっては1日10時間勤務となる場合がありますが、出勤日数を減らし1週間40時間を超えない範囲で設定します。

Location & Commuting
This position is based at a newly launching Amazon site in Amagasaki. After joining, you will undergo several months of training at other Amazon sites, involving business travel.

About the Position
We are hiring launch-team members for a new Amazon Transfer Center (TC).
No previous logistics experience is required. Many successful Amazon employees previously worked in completely different industries, including:

Services such as Expedited Delivery, Scheduled Delivery, and Same-Day Delivery were developed in Japan to make shopping more convenient for customers. These services are supported by Amazon’s logistics network, including Transfer Centers (TCs) and Fulfillment Centers (FCs).
Amazon is expanding its TC network to further improve customer convenience. The Amagasaki TC will use Amazon’s latest proprietary technologies to optimize its operations.

Key Responsibilities
Area Managers are responsible for managing one operational process within their department. They oversee daily planning, progress, and performance while working toward annual safety, quality, and productivity goals.
1. Develop and Support Team Members
As a frontline manager, you will actively engage with team members and improve the workplace based on their feedback.
You will:
• Manage a team ranging from several to several dozen employees
• Coach employees on operational knowledge, skills, and Amazon’s culture
• Listen to employees’ concerns and take action to resolve problems
• Improve employee engagement
• Manage attendance and working hours

2. Improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity
You will lead improvements within your assigned operational process.

3. Manage Daily Operations
Transfer Centers are large-scale logistics facilities that support Amazon’s extensive product selection and optimal inventory placement.
You will develop and manage plans for receiving products and shipping them to the appropriate FCs based on historical customer-order data.
You will also respond to changing operational conditions, such as:
• Higher or lower volume than forecast
• Unexpected labor shortages
• System issues
• Other operational disruptions
Your goal is to make appropriate decisions and ensure that customer delivery promises are met.
4. Lead Improvement Projects
Continuous improvement is an important part of Amazon’s culture.
In addition to your regular responsibilities, you will lead projects that improve:
• Safety
• Productivity
• Operational processes
• The employee experience
You may also collaborate with other departments and participate in site events, such as Family Day, as a member of the organizing committee.

Working Conditions
• Work arrangement: Shift work under a one-month variable working-hours system
• Standard working hours: Eight hours per day
• Average weekly hours: No more than 40 hours
• Annual days off: 120 days, averaging 10 days per month
• Shift pattern: Two or three shifts, mainly day shifts but including night shifts
The proportion of night shifts may vary depending on the department and peak periods.
When transitioning between day and night shifts, at least one scheduled day off will be provided to reduce the burden on employees.
Some sites may operate 10-hour shifts. In such cases, the number of working days will be reduced so that average weekly working hours do not exceed 40 hours.
