We are the engineering team in Nomura Group, a leading company in the industry having a strong global presence among Japanese financial institutions. Our Japan Business Service Group belongs to Corporate IT, which develops applications for domestic departments and group companies of Nomura Securities using Agile methodology. Our mission is to contribute to the promotion of DX in cooperation with Business users, with agile development of "Made in Japan" quality utilizing the latest technologies include AI solutions. Engineers are flexibly involved with a wide variety of in-house development and projects. Communication within the team is in Japanese and sometimes in English as it is made up of multinational members.

コミュニケーションは主に日本語で行われるため、リーダーには日本語スキルが必須となります。
英語のスキルは必須ではありませんが、海外チームと協業する際に使うことがあります。

The engineering team is working on multiple developments and projects in parallel with a start-up culture. We have DevOps tools environment in place and adopt agile development that automates deployment and testing using JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Selenium, etc. The team is looking for developers and leads heading up the developers. You will be involved with one of the developments depending on your expertise, skills and experience.
Communication with business users is primarily in Japanese, so Japanese language skills are essential for the leader level.
English skills are not required but may be used when collaborating with the teams in oversea locations.
Even if you are not confident in English skills, we still encourage you to apply if you would like to develop yourself in English skill.

＜想定される責務／Expected responsibilities＞

新規ビジネスや業務効率化にかかるニーズに応えるためのアプリケーションの設計・開発およびプロジェクトの推進。
関係部署と連携したビジネス要件の取りまとめ。
システムアーキテクチャーの設計・開発。またAI等の新技術の評価および利活用の検討。
CI/CDパイプラインの構築および運用保守。
テストケースを管理する責任ある開発者として行動し、SIT/E2E/UAT などのテストケースをレビューし、システム実装のテストを計画および管理。
フロントおよびミドルオフィス、決済システム、参照データ、インフラストラクチャ、およびその他のIT 関連部署との連携および協業。
変更管理、変更分析、フロントツーバックのテスト等、各種調整の支援。
開発リードとしてプロジェクト全体のスケジュールに従って開発を推進、マイルストーンを決定し進捗を報告。
実践的なプログラミングの知見から品質についてのゲートキーパーとしてコードレビューの実施および開発メンバーの指導。
ユーザーインターフェースやアプリケーション機能の継続的な改善のための分析を積極的にサポートし改善策を提案。
アジャイルおよび DevOps 方法論を利用した開発/Agileコーチとしてチームメンバーを指導。
Leading and executing the application development life cycle to support the new business initiatives as well as the business process improvement agendas.
Business requirement gathering by interacting with stakeholders.
Design and develop system architecture include leveraging the newer technologies like AI.
Constructing and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline
Plan and manage testing of system implementations by acting as accountable owner for managing test cases and representing the team for test cycle reviews such as for SIT/E2E/UAT.
Collaboration with partner technology departments such as front and middle office, settlement systems, reference data, infrastructure, and other core IT counterparties.
Support change management, change analysis, and front to back coordination.
As a development lead, apply project management duties to ensure project delivery as per program schedules; determining and reporting delivery milestones.
Full hands-on coding abilities and act as a gatekeeper in code reviews.
Proactively support ongoing analysis of graphical user interfaces and functional specifications for in-scope applications with the objective to recommend and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Act as a lead/trainer of the Agile and DevOps methodologies, guide team members in technology and beyond.

＜必須要件／Mandatory Requirement＞

日本語ネイティブレベル、もしくは英語ネイティブレベル且つ日本語中級レベル以上
複数の OS 環境 (Unix/Linux/MS) での汎用プログラミング言語の 3年以上の経験、できれば Java やPythonを使用したフロントエンド開発の経験。
DevOps およびアジャイル開発方法論の応用経験と深い理解、および GIT、Jenkins、SonarQube、Cucumber などのさまざまなコアツールにわたる確立された知識。
Java オープンソースアプリケーションフレームワーク (Spring フレームワークなど) に関する理解と開発経験。
データベースの設計と管理の知識と利用経験。できれば MS SQL Server の利用経験。
技術者と技術者以外の両方に対する高いコミュニケーション能力
ビジネスプロセスをテクノロジーソリューションと関連付けて、ビジネス関係者の両方に最大限の利益をもたらし、適切なテクノロジーアーキテクチャに適用する提案能力。
中規模チーム (5 〜 15) の開発リード／サブリード経験（リードポジションは必要。）
Native level in Japanese, or native level in English with intermediate level or above in Japanese.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general-purpose programming languages in multiple OS environments (Unix/Linux/MS), preferably front-end development with Java and/or Python.
Solid experience and understanding of DevOps and Agile development methodology, with established expertise across range of core tools like GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, Cucumber, etc.
Strong understanding of the Java Open Source Application Framework (like Spring framework).
Ability in database design and management, preferably in SQL Server.
Strong oral and written communications to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong ability to correlate business processes with technology solutions to best benefit both business stakeholders and apply to proper technology architecture.
Experience in leading mid-size teams (5 to 15) (Dev Lead position required)

株式、債券、デリバティブなどの商品の取引ライフサイクルを理解し、証券取引環境での実践的な開発における 3 年以上の業界経験。

More than 3 years of industry experience in hands-on development within the securities trading environment with solid understanding of the trade lifecycle for products such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
Understanding or experience in web technologies such as Angular/React、Node-JS、TypeScript.
Agile Certification
Business-level English.
*JSDA (Japan Securities Dealers Association) Sales Representative Qualification
*ICM (Internal Control Manager)
