【業務内容】

担当職種の内容
Product Master Data Specialistは、全社横断で製品マスターデータの管理・運用を推進し、マスターデータの提供プロセスを統括・実行するポジションです。
Data Custodian、Data Steward、Data Domain Ownerと連携しながら、複数の業務部門・システム・アプリケーションにおいて、製品マスターデータの整合性、一貫性、可用性を確保します。
また、Data Domain Leadと密接に協力し、データフローの管理、メタデータカタログの維持、データガバナンス基準の遵守、およびデータマネジメントプロセスの継続的な改善を推進します。さらに、データ関連のポリシー・プロセス・規程への準拠を確保しながら、各事業領域と連携して戦略的な取り組みを支援します。
具体的な業務内容
■ データマネジメント業務
Data Domain Leadと連携し、マスターデータの取り込み（Ingestion）、検証（Validation）、標準化（Standardization）、変換（Transformation）、更新、データ拡充（Enrichment）、修正を含むエンドツーエンドのデータ管理を推進する
データ管理業務が事業戦略、デジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）、およびデータ分析戦略を支援することを確保する
再利用可能なフレームワーク、データマップ、データフローを設計・維持し、データ要件や品質状況、改善機会を可視化するレポーティングおよび分析を提供する
データドメインと利用部門間のデータフローを最適化し、SLA、KPI、および運用ベストプラクティスを策定・運用する
マスターデータの分析やデータ拡充を通じて各部門を支援し、ユーザーおよびData Stewardへの教育・指導を行う
データオーナーシップ、セキュリティ、データ分類、ガバナンスポリシーの遵守を徹底する
データサービスの効率性、品質、信頼性向上に向けた業務プロセス改善を提案・実行する
■ データガバナンス業務
データの標準化、法規制対応、および全社施策の推進に向けて、ビジネス部門およびIT部門におけるデータガバナンスの導入・定着をリードまたは支援する
Data Domain Leadと連携し、データガバナンス、データ品質、セキュリティ、およびデータライフサイクル管理に関するポリシーを策定・維持・運用する
データ分類、保持期間、アーカイブ、廃棄基準を含むデータ管理ルールを整備する
データオーナーおよびData Stewardの役割・責任を定義し、RACIマトリクスを管理する
マスターデータ変更や新規施策に伴うリスクおよび影響評価を実施し、課題管理・エスカレーション・解決プロセスを構築する
データ品質、ポリシー遵守状況、およびガバナンスの有効性を測定するKPI、ダッシュボード、スコアカードを作成・運用する
ガバナンス委員会や運営会議に対し、意思決定に必要な指標・分析結果・改善提案を提供する
データカタログ、データリネージ、ワークフロー管理などのガバナンスツールおよび自動化施策を管理する
OCM（組織変革管理）担当者と連携し、データガバナンスポリシーに関するコミュニケーション、教育、定着活動を推進する
業界の最新動向やベストプラクティスを調査し、データ管理手法の継続的な改善を提案する
■ マスターデータ管理（MDM）業務
MDMツールを活用し、マスターデータの取り込み、クレンジング、配信、システム連携を支援・運用しながら、データ品質基準の遵守を確保する
マスターデータ管理の中核担当者として、データ標準、ビジネスルール、データ用語集（Business Glossary）を策定・維持し、データ作成・更新時の承認フローを整備する
業務データ、トランザクションデータ、および関連データを分析し、標準ルールへの準拠状況を確認するとともに、継続的に発生する品質問題の根本原因分析を実施する
トレーサビリティマッピングを維持し、Data Domain Lead、Data Custodian、Data Stewardと連携してERP、PLM、CRMなど複数システム間のデータ整合性を確保する
データ同期プロセスを支援し、KPIモニタリングおよびダッシュボード開発を通じて、データ品質、更新タイミング、利用状況を可視化する

【Overview】
(Immediately after hiring)
The Product Master Data Specialist orchestrates and executes master data delivery across the enterprise. This role coordinates with Data Custodians, Data Stewards, and Data Domain Owners to ensure that product master data is properly organized, consistent, and accessible across multiple business functions, systems, and applications.
Working closely with the Data Domain Lead, the Specialist manages data flows, maintains metadata catalogs, enforces governance standards, and drives continuous improvement of data management practices. This position also ensures compliance with all data-related policies, processes, and protocols while collaborating across business domains to support strategic initiatives.
【Key Responsibilities】
Data Management Responsibilities:
・Drive the end-to-end management of master data in partnership with the Data Domain Lead, including ingestion, validation, standardization, transformation, updates, enrichment, and corrections.
・Ensure data management practices support business initiatives, digital transformation, and analytics strategies.
・Develop and maintain reusable frameworks, data maps, and dataflows; provide contextualized insights and reporting to monitor data requirements, quality, and opportunities.
・Optimize data flows between domains and consumers, including defining SLAs, KPIs, and operational best practices.
・Support business functions through analysis, enrichment, and consistent application of master data; provide training and guidance to users and data stewards.
・Ensure adherence to data ownership, security, classification, and governance policies across all master data operations.
・Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability of enterprise data services.
Data Governance Responsibilities:
・Lead or support the implementation and adoption of data governance practices across business and technology teams to standardize data, ensure regulatory compliance, and support enterprise initiatives.
・Partner with Data Domain Lead(s) to develop, maintain, and enforce policies for data governance, quality, security, and lifecycle management, including classification, retention, archival, and disposal standards.
・Define and maintain data ownership, stewardship roles, responsibilities, and RACI matrices.
・Assess risks and impacts of master data changes or initiatives, and establish processes for issue management, escalation, and resolution.
・Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to measure data quality, policy adherence, and governance effectiveness.
・Support governance councils and committees by providing metrics, insights, and recommendations for decision making.
・Oversee data governance tools and automation for cataloging, lineage, workflow, and process efficiency.
・Collaborate with Organizational Change Management (OCM) leads to drive communication, training, and adoption of data governance policies.
・Continuously research and recommend improvements based on emerging data management best practices and standards.
Master Data Management Responsibilities:
・Support and maintain the end-to-end use of MDM tools for ingestion, cleansing, distribution, and integration of master data while adhering to data quality standards.
・Act as a strategic steward of master data, defining and maintaining data standards, business rules, and glossaries; establish approval workflows for creation and updates.
・Analyze operational, transactional, and other data sets to ensure compliance with standards, and perform root cause analysis for recurring data quality issues.
・Maintain traceability mappings and coordinate with Data Domain Lead(s), Data Custodians, and Data Stewards to ensure data consistency across ERP, PLM, CRM, and other systems.
・Support data synchronization, monitor KPIs, and develop dashboards to track data quality, timeliness, and usage.
・Conduct business analyses for system changes, outlining problems, opportunities, and requirements.
・Provide training, guidance, and support to business users and data stewards on MDM tools, processes, and policies to ensure adoption and compliance.
・Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve master data management practices, ensuring reliable, high-quality data for enterprise reuse.

【Qualifications】
Required:
・Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration (or equivalent and related experience preferred).
・4-10 years of experience in data governance, master data management, data architecture, or data science, including planning and executing data-related projects.
・Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or CPG industries, with exposure to global business operations and product master data, including data flow, solution modeling.
・Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles, product hierarchies, attributes, and related system (ERP/PLM/PIM).
・Business-level Japanese and English skills
Preferred:
・Strong understanding of master data management, data governance frameworks, and associated technologies.
・Proven ability to analyse, resolve, and prevent data inconsistencies across systems and processes.
・Skilled in Agile IT environments, with experience managing cross-functional initiatives and delivering results within project timelines.
・Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
・Experience with data modelling, integration, and synchronization across multiple systems and platforms.
・Ability to analyse complex product data, identify issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
・Understanding of product lifecycle, supply chain, and operational processes, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
・Proficiency with MDM tools, reporting, and data visualization platforms; basic SQL or scripting skills preferred.
・Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and adaptability.
