AXA Japan is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Stream 4 of its Life Platform Modernization program. This stream aims to simplify existing commission and compensation processes, migrate the related applications currently hosted in mainframe platform to a secure, scalable cloud environment and decommission legacy mainframe applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive digital transformation in Japan’s life insurance industry, ensuring improved efficiency, agility, and compliance with local regulations. This position will report to Life Platforms Modernization Senior Program Manager.

- Take charge of a key stream within AXA Japan’s Life Platform Modernization program, shaping the future of the company’s core insurance system
- Lead efforts to simplify and optimize commission and compensation processes, directly enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Play a central role in retiring outdated mainframe applications, reducing maintenance costs and risk, and enabling future innovation.
- Work closely with technical teams, business units, and regulatory stakeholders, strengthening leadership and communication skills.
- Contribute to transforming Japan’s life insurance industry by enabling more agile, compliant, and customer-centric services through modernized platforms.
【求めるスキル・経験/ Required Skills and Experiences 】
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing complex IT transformation projects in the insurance or financial services industry. Proven experience leading mainframe-to-cloud migrations, especially in life insurance or similar industries, is highly desirable
- Languages: Fluency in Japanese and proficient in English communication skills.
- Strong understanding of insurance systems, especially commission and compensation processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and migration best practices.
- Knowledge of Japanese regulatory environment related to insurance systems.
Skills and Competences

- Experience working with Japanese regulators and understanding compliance standards.
- Ability to lead multicultural teams and coordinate across different functions

【賃金】現年収、能力、経験に応じて当社規定により優遇
【勤務時間】
管理監督者に該当するとみなし、次のとおりにする。
始業・終業時刻：午前9時・午後5時を基本とし、労働者の決定に委ねる。
休憩：正午から午後1時までの１時間を基本とし、始業・終業時刻の途中に労働者の決定により取得するものとする
【勤務地/ Work Location】
（雇入れ直後）白金本社
（変更の範囲）会社の定める就業場所へ異動を命じることがある。
