Main duties:
- Manage the execution of BESS projects from financial close to commercial operations handover
- Drive schedule, quality and budget performance in line with agreed project baselines
- Lead major contract engagement and management (for example EPC, major equipment supply, resource aggregation system supplier)
- Lead discussions with relevant government authorities (METI, OCCTO, local government, etc)
- Progress reporting to internal senior management
- Maintain up to date knowledge of prevailing EPC and system integration models, and overall technical market trends
- Build and maintain relationships with key equipment suppliers and integrators / contractors active in Japan

Required Experience
- 8-12 years’ experience in the power or related industry
- 4 years in lead project managemenr position
- Fluent in Japanese, minimum TOEIC 800 for English
Other requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, self-starter
- Able to manage numerous tasks and projects in parallel, strong ability to prioritise work,
- Desire to grow into the energy storage industry,
- Established relationships with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers
- Willingness to learn and grow outside of stated work requirements
