Role description
Job Summary
Experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, migration strategies, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement highly scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud architectures
· Lead cloud migration initiatives (on-premise to AWS)
· Define and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, security, and governance
· Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
· Optimize cloud costs and performance
· Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
· Ensure compliance with security standards and policies
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
· Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as:
o EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFront
· Expertise in cloud architecture design patterns and frameworks
· Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
· Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
· Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)
· Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing)
· Experience in security best practices (encryption, IAM roles, compliance)
· Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· AWS Certifications such as:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
o AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
· Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
· Background in Agile / Scrum methodologies
· Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Must Have
· Bilingual language (Japanese) fluent proficiency in read / write. Minimum of N2 level certification or (N3 with fluent spoken ability).

· Knowledge of serverless architecture patterns
· Exposure to FinOps practices
