About the Team
The ADAS Validation Engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of advanced driver assistance systems. Our engineers work closely with both internal development teams and OEM customers to validate camera and radar-based technologies. The team is responsible for vehicle testing, data analysis, and supporting the continuous improvement of ZF’s cutting-edge ADAS solutions.
What you can look forward to as Validation Engineer:
Validation of camera and radar-based driver assistance systems
Define requirements and analyze system specifications
Develop, prepare, and review test specifications
Install and debug test equipment in vehicles
Perform camera and radar installation and calibration
Execute vehicle performance tests according to specifications
Analyze, document, and interpret test results using tools such as Matlab and Vector
Support the DAS development organization and customer teams with technical feedback
Your profile as Validation Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive, Mechanical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering
At least two years of experience in system or vehicle testing, preferably in automotive system development
Strong understanding of embedded systems and ability to develop relevant test specifications
Proficiency in Matlab, DOORS, CANape, CANalyzer, and other vehicle measurement tools
Knowledge of electronics, electrical product testing, and programming languages
Structured, independent, and target-oriented work style with strong documentation skills
Business-level communication skills in both English and Japanese; team player with basic project management and presentation skills
Valid Japanese driver’s license with sufficient driving experience in Japan; willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
