We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Analyst Intern to support the Finance & FP&A team in business planning, financial reporting, budgeting, and retail performance analysis. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic luxury retail environment and exposure to commercial finance, accounting, and business operations.
Financial Planning & Analysis • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management presentations. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. • Analyze sales, operating expenses, and profitability by store, channel, and product category. • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions. Retail Performance Analysis • Monitor key retail KPIs, including sales, Average Transaction Value (ATV), Units Per Transaction (UPT), conversion rate, and clienteling KPIs. • Identify business trends and summarize performance insights. Business Reporting • Support weekly and monthly business reviews. • Consolidate data from SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools. • Maintain dashboards and reporting files with a high level of accuracy. Budget & Cost Control• Assist with expense tracking. • Review invoices and support month-end closing activities. • Monitor departmental budgets and identify potential risks or opportunities. Project Support • Support finance projects, including store openings and renovations, lease and rent analysis, and process improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Retail, Operations, HR, IT, and Merchandising.
Education • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Technical Skills • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and basic financial modeling. • Proficiency in PowerPoint. • Basic understanding of financial statements, including the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools is a plus. Eligibility• Student with working abilities in Japan Preferred Qualifications • Previous internship experience in Finance, Accounting, Consulting, Banking, or Retail. • Interest in the luxury retail and consumer goods industries. • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
