4. Duties and Responsibilities: Kanazawa University promotes transdisciplinary research that
integrates the humanities, sciences, and medicine within its Faculty of Transdisciplinary Sciences
for Innovation. To further strengthen these efforts, we invite applications for a faculty position
in Digital Business Creation and Technology Management. The successful candidate will be
responsible for research and education in areas related to business creation through digital
technologies, entrepreneurship education, technology management, innovation management,
and the relationship between technology, society, and industry. Specific areas include
entrepreneurship, business planning, business models, startups, industry–academia
collaboration, R&D management, technology commercialization and societal implementation,
digital transformation (DX), data utilization, new business development utilizing AI and IoT,
value creation through collaboration with regional communities and companies, engineering
ethics, Science, Technology and Society (STS), risk, safety, and the environment, ELSI,
sustainability, regional industries, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, food industries,
manufacturing, supply chains, industrial structures, utilization of regional resources, industrial
DX, and ethical and social issues associated with AI and data utilization. The appointee is also
expected to teach courses on entrepreneurship education and technology management, and to
engage in educational and research activities related to business development utilizing digital
technologies, project-based learning, business model design, industry–academia and regional
collaboration education, internship-based education, and the societal implementation of
technology.

Frontier Science Initiative):
Kanazawa University provides education for students enrolled in the College of
Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation and the Division of Convergence Science, Graduate
School of Frontier Science Initiative. This education is based on transdisciplinary sciences
integrating the humanities, sciences, and medicine, as well as on the creation of convergent
