Part-time shifts near Tama Plaza station
Tuesday-Saturday, up to 28 hours / week
Particular need for THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS
Team teaching English to children ages 0-12

Salary:
2,000円 - 2,750円 / hour in class
1,200円 / hour for non-class work (prep, training, etc)
Majority of your shift will typically be in class.
1 year renewable contract
Transportation 100% reimbursed (shortest reasonable route)

Overview:
GnoKids is a children’s English school with eight locations and growing in Tokyo! We are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic, experienced teachers who love spending time and having fun with kids. We see ourselves as being at the cross-roads between regular Eikaiwa English schools and international schools, in that we have a strong focus on natural communication between our teachers and students, have extensive lesson and homework materials, and teach longer (90 minute) classes.

Our Method:
GnoKids uses an entirely original, detailed curriculum. We have original textbooks and videos for homework. Our classes are based around Project Based Learning, meaning lessons are structured around a project theme to give context to the language we’re teaching. We strongly believe in ‘learning through doing’ and our classes are very hands-on.
At GnoKids, our ideal is true team-teaching. Classes have two teachers who should be equally involved in teaching a successful lesson. Having two teachers provides chances to model natural English exchanges to the students, create a fun atmosphere, and give the students more individual attention. We have small class sizes, with a maximum of 10 students per class and maintain a 1:5 teacher to student ratio to maximize students’ opportunity for production and teacher interaction.

Weekdays typically between the hours of 14:00-20:15, Saturdays between the hours of 9:00-17:30
Shifts possible from 1-5 days / week, possible lengths of 2-8 hours
