ABOUT OUR PRESENCE IN YOKOHAMA:
Coperion’s Yokohama, Japan location, the base of Coperion K.K., is a key hub for advanced ingredient automation in the Japanese market. As a sales and service office, the site supports customers across Japan, specializing in equipment for extrusion, compounding, conveying, mixing, feeding, and material handling.
With a focus on local support and after-sales service, the team works closely with Coperion’s global engineering and product experts to deliver tailored solutions for high-performance production processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- You will receive request for quotation (RFQ) inquiries for spare parts and clarify customer requirements with internal teams.
- You will prepare quotations and manage orders in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- You will coordinate spare parts orders with the German headquarters and other Coperion affiliates.
- You will support dispatch, import, logistics, and customs processes to help ensure on-time delivery.
- You will provide spare parts support across Coperion’s product portfolio and maintain clear communication with customers.
- You will build customer relationships through responsive service and consistent follow-through.
- You will support sales forecasting by reviewing order activity and demand trends.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
- You have a diploma or degree in supply chain, procurement, business administration, or a related field.
- You have at least 3–5 years of experience in sales, commercial support, customer support, or a similar role.
- You are fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and can work effectively in an ERP system.
- You can manage quotations, orders, and related details accurately and on time.
- You have strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- You work well with customers, internal teams, and global stakeholders, and you bring a practical, team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in a sales or commercial support role in the manufacturing or engineering industry, and general knowledge of logistics and customs clearance, is in an advantage.

As an Assistant Spare Parts Sales professional at Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, you will help customers keep their equipment running through timely spare parts support. You will work in a hybrid arrangement, with one work-from-home day, based in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Coperion provides equipment, systems, and services that help manufacturers process, move, and handle materials. Your work supports reliable operations, strong customer relationships, and steady growth in the aftermarket business.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard working hours of 7:45 hours, with flexible working hours and 1 work-from-home day
