(1) The Laboratory of Marine Biology and Biodiversity conducts research on the classification,
morphology, life history, ecology and evolution of marine organisms. Based on this research, it
provides advanced specialized education and research in planktology, animal ecology and systematic
ichthyology, serving as a hub for marine biology research. This laboratory aims to cultivate highly
skilled professionals and researchers who can play an active role globally in the fields of marine
biology education and research, as well as in fisheries resource management and environmental
conservation.
