Japanese–English Simultaneous Interpreter – International Market Research Project
DIGIVERSE Inc., a Canadian market research company, is seeking a fluent Japanese–English Simultaneous Interpreter for an international in-home research project in Tokyo and Osaka.
The interpreter will work alongside our moderator during 2.5-hour in-home interviews. The moderator will conduct the interview with respondents in Japanese, while the interpreter will provide live Japanese-to-English interpretation for our international client, as well as English-to-Japanese interpretation when required.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide live Japanese ↔ English interpretation during in-home interviews
- Work alongside the moderator and international client
- Accurately communicate respondents' answers and discussions to the client
- Assist with communication during home tours and research activities
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Attend all scheduled sessions in Tokyo and Osaka
Requirements
- Fluent Japanese and English
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Comfortable interpreting continuously during approximately 2.5-hour sessions
- Professional interpretation experience preferred
- Comfortable working with international clients
- Available for all four fieldwork days
- Able to travel between Tokyo and Osaka
- Driver's license is not required
Schedule
- Tokyo: September 7–8, 2026
- Osaka: September 10–11, 2026
- 2 interviews per day
- Approximately 2.5 hours per interview
Compensation
- USD $150/day × 4 days = USD $600
- Local transportation allowance: USD $100
- Meal allowance: USD $100
- Total: USD $800
- Tokyo–Osaka travel and hotel accommodation will be covered separately by DIGIVERSE.
The recruitment interview will be conducted in English.

カナダのマーケットリサーチ会社 DIGIVERSE Inc. では、東京・大阪で実施する国際的な訪問型調査プロジェクトに参加いただける、日本語・英語に堪能な通訳者を募集しています。
通訳者には、モデレーターと同行し、参加者のご自宅で行われる約2.5時間のインタビューに参加していただきます。モデレーターと参加者の日本語での会話を海外クライアント向けにリアルタイムで英語に通訳し、必要に応じて英語から日本語への通訳も行っていただきます。
主な業務
- 訪問インタビュー中の日英・英日リアルタイム通訳
- モデレーターおよび海外クライアントとの連携
- 参加者の回答や会話内容を正確にクライアントへ通訳
- ホームツアーや調査活動中のコミュニケーションサポート
- 守秘義務およびプロフェッショナルな対応
- 東京・大阪で予定されている全セッションへの参加

- 運転免許は不要です

採用面接は英語で実施します。
