Responsibilities
- Lead fun English activities such as games, sports, science experiments, crafts, and projects
- Encourage children aged 5–10 to communicate in English throughout the program
- Adapt activities based on children's English levels, interests, and learning needs
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment where children can grow in confidence
- Build strong relationships with children through active participation and encouragement
- Communicate professionally with parents and team members
- Be a positive role model through your attitude, energy, and reliability
Activity Planning
Teachers are encouraged to prepare their own activities and experiments. The same activity may be used throughout the week across Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday classes, so there is no need to create completely new activities for each day.
We provide an activity budget of up to ¥2,000 per week for materials and experiment supplies.

Requirements
- Native-level English proficiency (C1+ minimum)
- Valid visa with permission to work in Japan
- Available to work for at least 6 months
- Passionate about education and helping children grow
- Exceptional punctuality, attendance, and reliability
- Able to commit to scheduled shifts consistently and make every reasonable effort to avoid absences and lateness
- Able to follow school procedures and take responsibility for daily duties
- Energetic, playful, and comfortable actively participating in games and activities
- Knowledge of games, sports, science activities, crafts, music, and other hands-on activities for children
- Able to adapt activities based on children's English levels, interests, and learning needs
- Understanding of Growth Mindset, Active Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, and strategies that encourage intrinsic motivation in children
- Able to create engaging experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, independence, and communication
- Creative and willing to learn new activities and teaching techniques

Usual Working Hours
Tuesday: 2:45 PM – 8:00 PM (Suginami)
Thursday: 2:45 PM – 8:00 PM (Suginami)
Friday: 2:45 PM – 8:00 PM (Suginami)
Applicants must be available to work on all three days.

Payment will be made on the last day of the following month via Revolut.

If your business-related expenses are significant relative to your earnings, your actual take-home pay may be higher than it would be under a standard salary with automatic tax deductions.This is an independent contractor position with fewer than 20 working hours per week; therefore, it does not qualify for social insurance through the school.
Please note that as an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes and national insurance.
If the nature of your work changes to a regular employment contract exceeding 20 hours per week, your eligibility for social insurance will be reassessed in accordance with Japanese law.
As this is an independent contractor agreement, we do not provide social insurance or perform tax withholding.
Therefore, you have the flexibility to manage your own tax filings and determine your taxable income.
We do not require our independent contractors to be registered invoice issuers.
