3. Field of specification:
Advanced research area related to quantum/digital network such as quantum network, ICN, SDN, NFV, in-network
computing, network intelligence and B5G/6G/B6G. The candidate conducts fundamental research on the advanced
research area and its applications and proposes innovative and advanced techniques on quantum/digital network and
their applications to promote the social implementation of them. Especially, the candidate is expected to
enthusiastically conduct research on the invention of network techniques utilizing quantum technology and their
applications.
The candidate will participate in a research project “Promotion of secure super-smart society (Society 5.0) through
the integration of IoT, AI, and cyber security”, and will be expected to contribute to the goal of the research project
by collaborating with other project members. The candidate will also provide education and research instructions to
students pursuing the electrical, information and communication engineering by joining the advanced information
specialist training program conducted by Kanazawa University.

Liberal Arts and Science
Lecture and experiment on subjects associated with computer science, Advanced topics on information &
communication engineering, computer and programming for undergraduate course and graduate course
6. Employment status:
A full-time associate professor (non-tenured, 5-year term) or
A full-time assistant professor (non-tenured, 5-year term)
* After the expiration of the employment period, the employment period may be renewed as a tenured position based
on results of an internal review of achievements by Kanazawa University.
** Applicant may be hired as tenured even at the time of employment if the applicant has excellent achievements.
7. Compensation:
Annual salary system is applied according to Kanazawa University’s regulations.
8. Qualification requirements:
1) The candidate should be a researcher with a doctoral degree (In case of Assistant Professor, the candidate who
holds a doctoral degree by the time when the appointment begins is also eligible to apply).
2) The candidate should have enthusiasm for education and research and can actively work for the collaboration
between industry and university.
3) The candidate should have outstanding research achievements in computer engineering, network engineering,
computer science or other related fields underlying advanced quantum/digital network, or in the integration of
quantum technology and information network, and be competent in the industrial application.
4) It is desirable for candidates to possess sufficient communication skills in both Japanese and English.
9. Start of employment:
An appointee is expected on duty on February 1st, 2027 or any early possible date afterwards
