About This Role
This is an independent contractor (業務委託) role focused on helping Studio ARRT Club grow through consistent marketing and community support.
Your role is to turn Ashley's lessons, ideas, and videos into engaging marketing content while helping keep our marketing systems organized and running smoothly.
You'll help more families discover Studio ARRT Club by publishing content consistently, supporting our email marketing, maintaining organized marketing systems, and creating a welcoming experience for families from their first interaction with us.
You'll work independently, manage your own schedule and equipment, and invoice monthly.
You'll collaborate with:
- Ashley, who creates the lessons, develops the marketing strategy, and leads the creative vision.
- Our Operations Coordinator, who manages member communication, translations, and day-to-day operations.
Our Main Goal
The purpose of this role is to help more families discover Studio ARRT Club.
We measure our progress by tracking how many families sign up for our free experiences, including our recorded trial lesson and monthly live Zoom sessions.
While no one person controls this result, your work plays an important role in building consistent marketing systems that help our community grow over time.
Responsibilities
Content Marketing
You'll help transform Ashley's ideas and teaching into consistent marketing content by:
- Editing and publishing short-form videos for social media
- Creating supporting graphics and visual content using Canva
- Repurposing content across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and our website
- Publishing blog articles and other marketing content we provide
- Maintaining a consistent publishing schedule
Email & Marketing Systems
You'll help keep our marketing systems organized by:
- Managing free trial and Zoom registrations using Kit
- Keeping subscriber lists and tags organized
- Sending scheduled reminder and follow-up emails
- Maintaining welcome and nurture email sequences
- Drafting newsletters based on marketing goals developed by Ashley and reviewed by Manami
Community & Marketing Support
You'll help create a positive experience for our community by:
- Helping maintain our marketing calendar
- Supporting local promotions, workshops, and community events when needed
- Coordinating marketing tasks with Ashley and Manami
- Helping ensure families receive timely communication throughout their experience
Tracking & Continuous Improvement
You'll help us make better decisions by:
- Maintaining a simple weekly marketing dashboard
- Tracking key marketing and community metrics
- Monitoring content performance
- Sharing observations and ideas that help us improve over time

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is fluent in Japanese and English
- Is comfortable using (or willing to quickly learn) CapCut, Canva, and Kit
- Works independently and manages their time well
- Is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Enjoys creativity, education, children, and community-building
- Wants to grow alongside a small, purpose-driven business
勤務時間・曜日:
Part-time position (10–20 hours per week). Work days and hours will be agreed upon in advance based on the employee's availability. Most work can be completed remotely during regular daytime business hours (Monday–Friday), with occasional evening or weekend work for live events or special projects. Weekly team meetings will be scheduled in advance. Some in-person meetings or content creation in the Kanagawa/Tokyo area may be required.

Work time is flexible but should have availability on weekdays from 10-3p

While most of the work may be done remotely, ability to meet once weekly in-person is required as is some potential travel to neighboring organizations (ie: schools, community centers, etc.) for network building

Contract Type: Independent Contractor (業務委託)
- You manage your own schedule, equipment, taxes, and invoicing.
- This is not an employment position, so social insurance and pension are your own responsibility.
- We'll begin with a paid trial project so we can both decide whether we're a good fit.
- If successful, we'll move into an ongoing monthly retainer.
Starting workload: Approximately 10–15 hours per week
Compensation: ¥1500-1800 per hour
This is a results-focused contract role. Rather than tracking hours, we'll agree on monthly priorities and expected deliverables together. The scope of work may evolve over time as Studio ARRT Club grows and our marketing priorities change.
