1) Research in cognitive and behavioral science and team-based cognitive empowerment
(Advance research that integrates brain function, physiological indices, behavioral data,
etc., and engage not only in fundamental research but also actively collaborate with
external organizations to undertake highly applicable research).
2) Teaching graduate courses in the Department of Humanities, Graduate School of Human
and Socio-Environmental Studies on science-related topics such as "Advanced Topics in
Behavioral Science" and "Seminar in Behavioral Science" in English and Japanese.
3) Teaching Global Standard (GS) Advanced Courses at the undergraduate level for 3rd and
4th year undergraduate students such as "Cognitive Empowerment through Behavioral
Science" in English and Japanese.
4) Teaching, designing, planning and coordinating “ From Foundations to Applications in
Cognitive Science ” classes in English and Japanese as a GS subject, which is a part of
the liberal arts curriculum.

6. Qualifications:
1) Applicants must have a doctoral degree or are expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the
time of employment.
2) Applicants should have abilities and willingness to carry out the duties and responsibilities
described above.
3) It is desirable that applicants have sufficient Japanese ability to conduct classes, advise
students, complete administrative tasks, contribute to committee work, and perform other
necessary tasks.
4) A successful candidate is required to reside in Kanazawa or in its surrounding vicinity, when
employed.
