LVMH Cosmetics (LCS) delivers shared services in Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain, IT, HR, Purchasing, Regulatory Affairs, and other functions, supporting LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics Group maisons in Japan, including Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, LVMH Fragrance Brands (Givenchy Parfums, Kenzo Parfums), Make Up Forever, Loewe Perfumes, and Officine Universelle Buly.
The Distribution and Allocation Planner is pivotal in orchestrating the efficient distribution of products throughout the global network of LVMH Fragrance Brands (LFB: Givenchy and Kenzo). This role is dedicated to optimizing product allocation across all distribution channels, ensuring a high service level for all LFB clients while strategically managing stock coverage at counters to minimize obsolescence. This role will be reporting to Planning Manager (LFB & MUFE) and located in Tokyo.
MAIN RESPONIBILITIES
1) Allocation Planning
- Develop and execute allocation strategies that support sales goals for all Novelties and Basics products under tight supply situation at warehouse.
- Engage with Product Marketing and Sales to align allocation plans with product launch schedules and assortment strategies, ensuring responsiveness to promotional impacts and seasonal demands.
- Coordinate with Supply Planning to monitor new stock arrivals; execute strategic redistribution of additional stocks across customers weekly, based on performance metrics. Raise alerts to Business team in case of out of stocks at counters.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis on inventory levels versus sales forecasts, managing quota settings and inventory releases, while adjusting plans based on market trends and demand shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels at stores/warehouses and redistribute products based on item lifecycle, stock coverage, financial targets and as needed to mitigate risks of overstock or out-of-stocks, streamline shipments from warehouse to retail in collaboration with logistics.
- Utilize allocation systems and software (AX, POS Infoware) for precise stock management; maintain data accuracy in system while generating reports for continuous improvement.
2) Counter-automatic replenishment
- Optimize store inventory by implementing counter-automatic replenishment procedures, contributing to logistic cost-efficiencies through minimized order lines.
- Administer counter replenishment parameters and quantities per SKU/counter based on each SKU’s life cycle stage and actual sell-through rates; aim for optimal presence rates, controlled stock coverage, and minimal obsolescence risk.
3) Collaborative Business Strategy
Drive key business metrics such as presence rate and stock coverage by providing actionable recommendations; drive initiatives in collaboration with core internal functions such as Planning, Sales, and Retail.
