Collaborate with users and the project team to gather and clarify requirements and expectations
Analyze business requirements and design data solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements
Assess existing systems to identify original source data based on business needs
Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies and build data flows
Provide guidance to System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, and other stakeholders on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
Discover and analyze metadata from source databases, including value patterns and distributions, key candidates, foreign key candidates, and functional dependencies
Design logical and physical data models
Create design documentation, including Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
Prepare test cases and test data, and capture test evidence

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
6–10 years of relevant experience in system development or a Business Systems Analyst role
Proven experience managing and successfully implementing projects
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Skills:
Strong data and system analytics skills using various programming languages
Solid knowledge of Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Linux, and networking
Strong understanding of data structures and data management with proven hands-on experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem
Experience working with evolving platforms and components such as Hive, HBase, Zeppelin, Spark, Livy, and Solr
Understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, ETL processes, and Salesforce
Hands-on experience with cloud services
Knowledge of streaming data processing and change data capture (CDC)
