Yummy Guide, Inc. operates "WOW," a cultural experience platform connecting Japan's traditional crafts and sake culture with international travelers. We are looking for English-speaking tour guides to join our team.
[Job Responsibilities]
- Guide small groups of international visitors through local breweries, distilleries, and artisan workshops in Ibaraki, in English.
- Share the stories behind Ibaraki's renowned sake brewing, natto culture, and Kasama pottery.
- Facilitate meaningful interaction between guests and local artisans.
- Manage the flow of each experience and ensure a high-quality guest experience.
[Requirements]
Required:
- Strong English communication skills (ability to explain Japanese culture and sake in English)
- Genuine interest in Japanese food culture, sake, and traditional crafts
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach
Preferred:
- Licensed Guide-Interpreter (Zenkoku Tsuyaku Annaishi)
- Sake Diploma, Sommelier certification, or equivalent
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, or guiding
- Bilingual individuals, returnees, university students, working professionals, and freelancers are all welcome
