Position Overview:
Data Enablement Lead plays a key role in ensuring day to day governance of data on DNA platforms. This is a business facing bi-lingual role requiring the DEL to partner with data owners from the functions. This is a mid-senior level role reporting to the Head of D&A.
Responsibilities
· Promote a culture of data driven decision making:
o Work on initiatives to enhance data literacy within the organization.
o Collaborate with key stakeholders from the function to promote the adoption of the data marketplace.
o Work with DNA to act upon feedback from the functions
· Ensure well catalogued data platform:
o Work with data owners to define the catalogue structure and business glossary
o Work with DNA to implement agreed catalogue structure and glossary
o Oversee access reports and work with data owners to keep access upto date
o Work with DNA to implement access controls as agreed with data owners
o Work on setting up access policies
· Data Quality on the Platform:
o Work with data owners to define quality rules for various data products
o Work with DNA to implement agreed rules
o Oversee daily DQ reports and work with data owners to resolve DQ issues expeditiously
o Understand DQ management in other systems and replicate relevant best practices in DNA
· Collaboration and Communication:
o Work with leadership to curate reading material and events that promote adoption of DNA platforms.
o Represent DNA in various forums.
· Provide leadership to D&A activities
o Oversee D&A operations from Tokyo
o Work with Head of D&A to enable key D&A initiatives
o Manage onsite D&A team members
Mandatory Requirements:
Education/Qualification:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
· Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance roles, with a focus on complex data projects. Proven experience in data catalogue and quality tools.
· Business Partnership and Leadership engagement
o The role requires relationship management with senior stakeholders within the functions
o Ability to leverage cross organization teams to deliver D&A and business objectives
· Technical Skills:
o Experience in implementing data cataloguing using industry standard tools like MS Purview, Collebra etc.
o Experience in implementing Data Market place solutions using catalogue and quality tools.
o Experience in implementing various quality and access related matrices.
o Hands on experience with data cataloging and quality tools like Purview, Collebra, SAP Data services etc.
o Proficiency in ITIL service management framework including use of service management tools like JIRA and Confluence
o Knowledge of SQL or any BI solution would be an advantage.
· Problem solving: Sound logical thinking and problem solving capabilities.
· Communication:
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Fluency in Japanese and English.
Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-have requirements:
· In-depth knowledge of data privacy and protection regulations.
· Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
· Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
· Any kind of business domain experience or specialization in areas like sales, supply chain, finance.
· Experience with utilizing data from SAP, APO, Salesforce.
· Training, experience, and certificates in Agile deliveries.

KPIs to build and monitor:
· Data Catalogue coverage: Ensure maximum and upto date coverage of catalogue.
· Data Quality efficiency: Percentage of data quality issues reported as service incidents
· Data Quality Improvement: Percentage of data quality issues resolved within SLA
· Platform Adoption: Percentage of data products being actively used by business
· Project Delivery Time: Measure the time taken to deliver complex data projects from initiation to completion.
Satisfaction: Qualitative feedback from team members, business counterparts, and data stewards to gauge their satisfaction with the reporting / dashboarding deliveries and leadership (score 0-5)
