Overview:
My client is a leading technology company driving digital innovation in Japan, specialising in creating scalable and secure solutions that allow Japanese businesses to modernise their IT systems.
They operate multiple in-house services (primarily on AWS) and are tackling challenges such as infrastructure automation, performance optimisation, and transitioning monolithic systems to microservices. They are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to help standardise, automate, and scale their infrastructure in a time of rapid business growth.

Responsibilities include:
- Architect and implement reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions, using tools like Terraform for configuration and deployment
- Drive process improvements by automating workflows for deployment and operations
- Diagnose and resolve incidents efficiently, ensuring high availability and stability
- Monitor and improve system security
- Assess and enhance infrastructure performance, implementing changes to optimise operations
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation to aid team collaboration and knowledge transfer
- Stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating and adopting new tools and methodologies

Essential Skills & Experience:
- At least five years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and programming skills in common scripting or development languages
- Proven experience implementing DevOps practices in production environments
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environments
- Fullstack engineering experience
Languages:
- Business-level Japanese (N2 or higher) is required. Conversational English language skills are desirable
