Role: Project Technical Lead/Technical Manager 4G/5G Core Domain: - Packet Core or IMS (Bilingual Japanese English)
JOB Details:- We are primarily looking for a Technical Project Lead/Manager who can lead technical end to end delivery of a telco core project ( Packet Core or IMS ), manage project timelines and support team engineers in their day-to-day task.
Skills: -
Candidate should have good knowledge & exp. in Packet Core or IMS Solution
Should have deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows, and overall understanding of latest technologies in the Telecom space including Packet Core, VOLTE, VoWiFi, IoT etc
Should have experience in installing, upgrading, integration different packet core nodes.
Sound understanding of troubleshooting issues related to packet core solution/nodes
Candidate with prior experience in leading project delivery/technical management with any of the mentioned nodes will be preferred. (SGSN / MME, GGSN/EPG , PCRF, CFX, NTAS etc.)
Candidate should possess excellent communication skills both in English and Japanese.
Should have prior experience in estimating/sizing projects.
Should have prior experience in project milestone management/technical delivery management
End Customer/Stakeholder management.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Primary project contact point in Japan towards local TDLs and MS PM for technical project delivery, project scheduling and completion review and updates.
Communication with subcon POCs, Engineers on day-to-day activities and work as a bridge between domain leader and partners locally.
To be a Primary contact point for the Customer on the demands, scheduling and task assignment, performance KPIs etc.
Works with Program Leader for meeting the Remotization / Offshoring targets for the domain.
Leading weekly subcon project reviews and follow-up on actions.
Work with domain leads to ensure the trainings needs for subcon engineers are addressed.
Coordinate with Engineers on Backlogs (Update status, Sync up with Global L3 for any SF ticket etc)
Including checking local engineers’ performance follow-up, tickets load, tickets they are handling, solving etc.

Translation support while working with remote engineers or Domains etc.,
Tech skills/training requirements handling for new resources joining telecom projects.
Talking the subcon POC and Engineers, handling escalations and reporting to customer on timely manner.
LNI process follow-up with engineers, tracking certification compliance.
Handling Commercial site access (KDDI group 3 and group 4) and support remote engineer.
Exp Range: -
10+ years with minimum 4+ years as Project Technical Lead/Manager
This is a customer facing role. Candidate is expected to work from customer location in Japan and should be flexible to travel.
Mandatory language skills:
Bilingual, English and Japanese- JLPT N2 plus above
