We are seeking a Full-Time Preschool Teacher to join our international English-language preschool program at Sunshine Kids Academy in Tokyo.
This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who can create an engaging, structured, and nurturing learning environment while supporting the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of young learners.
Our preschool program follows an international approach to early years education, incorporating the Cambridge Early Years framework alongside play-based, inquiry-based, and hands-on learning. Teachers are expected to plan purposeful lessons and learning experiences, observe and assess children's progress, and adapt teaching to support individual learning needs.
We welcome candidates with qualifications or experience in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, International Education, or a strong background teaching young children in an English-language learning environment.
[Main Job Duties]
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and Cambridge Early Years learning objectives
- Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences across literacy, mathematics, creative expression, understanding the world, physical development, and personal and social development
- Develop weekly and term-based lesson plans and prepare appropriate classroom resources
- Use play-based, inquiry-based, and hands-on approaches to encourage curiosity, communication, independence, and critical thinking
- Observe, assess, and document each child's learning and developmental progress
- Use assessment and classroom observations to identify individual learning needs and plan appropriate next steps
- Maintain a well-organized, stimulating, and academically purposeful classroom environment
- Support children's English-language development through daily conversation, stories, phonics, songs, and structured learning activities
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's learning, development, and classroom experiences
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, other teachers, and academic leadership
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning
- Maintain high standards of child safeguarding, health, safety, hygiene, and professional conduct

勤務時間・曜日:
- Fixed 5days per week (weekdays only).
- Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including a break).
- No work on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Overtime is not required.

Tokyo Campus
Address: 〒104-0043, 3-5-10 Minato, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, VORT Shintomicho 4F. The office is conveniently located near Hatchōbori Station, approximately 800 meters (an 11-minute walk), and Tokyo Station, approximately 2.3 km away (a 34-minute walk).
Shin-Urayasu Campus
Address: 5-7-8 Akemi, Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, 279-0014, Park City Tokyo Bay Shin-Urayasu Sol, Doctor's Bay Building C.
The campus is accessible from Hatchōbori Station via the Keiyō Line (17 minutes, 6 stops). From Shin-Urayasu Station, take Bus #3 towards Sogokoen, get off at Akemigochome, and walk 5 minutes (400m) to the campus.
給与:
- Monthly salary: ¥200,000 – ¥240,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
