In charge of driving AXA Japan’s sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to climate change agenda within the organization, aligned with the strategic plan and the Group direction through
- Play a key role in cross-functional sustainability-related activities & initiatives to achieve the KPIs, including but not limited to Greenhouse Gas (hereafter GHG) Emission Reduction target, by 2030 and beyond
- Contribute to develop philanthropy and sustainability-sensitive culture by leading and promoting various initiatives across the company
- Collaboratively work with key stakeholders in various teams, such as Group Sustainability team, Finance, HR, Strategy, Distribution, P&C, Brand, etc., to promote awareness for sustainability agenda internally and externally
- Closely monitor key indicators and work with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and proper disclosure of relevant information / figures
Key Accountabilities
Commit on GHG emission reduction results leading to showcase “exemplary company”
・Work with relevant stakeholders to agree on GHG reduction targets and ambitions to each division and track progress
・Contribute to manage climate change / sustainability initiatives transversely across AXA Japan
・Drive cross-functional governance and responsibility with centralized structure to manage climate actions
・Plan and engage relevant teams to take actions to achieve expected GHG emission reduction
・Make regular reports to Brand, Communication & Sustainability Committee and ExCom as needed
・Liaise with Finance Control to ensure proper annual Environment Report and CSRD report are submitted to the Group PBRC
・Handle various reports/survey locally required
Lead and execute AXA Hearts in Action (hereafter AHIA) initiatives
・Lead and manage AHIA initiatives, covering planning, promotion, execution, and continuous improvement.
・Drive cross-functional collaboration to foster company-wide engagement.
・Manage and enhance relationships with external stakeholders, such as beneficiaries of donations / sponsorship.
・Leverage AXA Group’s sustainability initiatives and strengthen the network and efforts by fostering strong communication with the AXA Group .
・Lead internal and external communications related to AHIA (Press release, Annual report, SNSs, Owned media(Company website, etc.)
Raise awareness of sustainability agenda
・Promote awareness for sustainability and AXA’s activities for the entire organization to change people’s behavior to mind sustainability and climate change in their every-day life and actions
・Influence divisions to let them review their own activities to make it more socially and environmentally friendly
・Being self-learner, having curiosity and motivation to quickly become climate expert

Strong communication/inter-personal skills both in Japanese and English, an excellent team worker.
Being able to communicate with people from executive level to staff level to engage them to execute the plan and promote sustainability sensitive mind-set
Curiosity and desire to learn and take on new things
Flexibility to accommodate organizational change, ability to build trust and network in rapidly changing environment
・ Other requirements
5 + years business experience including 3 + years of program / project management work
Problem solving practices including :
- Issue observation and analysis
- Logical thinking, critical thinking
- Formulate simulation with various patterns
- Information search skills, organizing skills, and presentation skills
Educational and Professional Background:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experiences
General Skills
- Language – Verbal and writing communication in Japanese and English: both business level. Japanese native level preferred
