Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives. Manage the recruitment and selection process, including workforce planning, interviewing, and onboarding. Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures in accordance with Japanese labor laws. Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and development plans. Drive employee engagement, retention, and talent development initiatives. Ensure compliance with all local employment regulations and company policies. Maintain and update HR records, reports, and documentation. Advise and coach managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Lead HR projects and initiatives as required by site or corporate leadership. Liaise with external partners, such as recruitment agencies, legal advisors, and government authorities.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written). High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
