Tenure Track (TT) Assistant Professor

3. Field of specification:
Robotics and mechatronics.
Candidates should conduct advanced and pioneering research and education toward social implementation. Upon
appointment, the successful candidate will join the Electronic Information Machine research group and cooperate
with professors in Robotics Mechatronics laboratory.
4. Education:
1) School of Frontier Engineering, College of Science and Engineering, Kanazawa University
2) Division of Frontier Engineering, Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Kanazawa University
5. Subject responsible for:
1) Undergraduate course: Lectures, exercises, and research guidance related to Robotics and Mechatronics.
2) Graduate course: Subjects related to Field of Specification.
6. Employment status:
A full-time tenue track assistant professor (non-tenured, 5-year term)
Based on the results of an internal review by Kanazawa University concerning research and educational
achievements, the promotion to tenure associate professorship or the appointment of tenure assistant
professor is possible. If the extension of the tenure track period (up to 3 years) is approved by the
internal review, the review will be conducted in the final year of the extended period.

(1) Research achievement in the concerned field is outstanding in both domestic and international
research communities.
(2) Appropriately planned research is sufficiently achieved.
(3) Sufficient competitive research funding is obtained.
(4) Educational achievement for students (research guidance and lecture) is outstanding.
7. Treatment:
The expected financial support is approximately 800,000 JPY in the first year.
8. Compensation:
Annual salary system is applied.
9. Qualification requirements:
1) The candidate should be a researcher who holds a doctoral degree by the time when the appointment begins.
2) The candidate should have enthusiasm for education and research.
3) The candidate should take a progressive approach to collaboration with industries and universities.
4) It is desirable for the candidate to possess sufficient communication skills in both English and Japanese.

April 1st, 2027 or any early possible date afterwards.
