Role Overview We are seeing a highly experienced ADAS Customer Engineering Leader to drive technical engagement with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 partners. This role serves as the primary technical bridge between customers in Japan and our global ADAS / IVI SOC and Software engineering teams. The Ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Automotive ADAS and IVI systems, strong understanding of ADAS SoC architecture and fluency in Japanese and English. This role requires strong system level thinking, executive communication skills, and hands on technical depth across the end-to-end ADAS software stack. Key Responsibilities • Customer Technical Leadership (Japan OEM Focus) o Serve as primary technical interface for Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. o Lead deep technical discussions covering: ADAS system architecture SoC capabilities and performance trade-offs Software stack integration (AUTOSAR, RTOS, Linux/QNX, middleware) AI model deployment and optimization • End to End ADAS System Expertise o Strong understanding of Sensor architectures (Camera, Radar, LiDAR, Ultrasonic) Sensor Fusion frameworks Perception pipelines (CV/AI/DNN acceleration) Functional Safety (ISO 26262, ASIL D) Automotive Cybersecurity architectures Hypervisors and mixed-criticality systems • ADAS SoC & Compute Landscape knowledge o Deep understanding of ADAS SoC architecture: CPU clusters (ARM Cortex-A/R) GPU / NPU / DSP accelerators Memory hierarchy & bandwidth constraints Functional Safety Island ISP and Vision pipelines o Ability to articulate differentiation versus competitors such as: NVDIA Qualcomm Mobileye Renesas Electronics • Cross-Functional Alignment & Executive Communication o Communicate Japanese customer feedback and strategic insights to : Engineering leadership Product management Executive team o Support executive level reviews and customer QBRs. o Align roadmap discussions between HQ and Japan customers. • Pre-Sales & Post Sales Technical Support o Support system bring-up and integration issues. o Coordinate debugging across HW, BSP, middleware, and AI layers. o Provide escalation support for critical customer issues. o Enable customer engineering team through documentation and training.
Required • 10+ years in Automotive ADAS / IVI systems • Strong background in Automotive SoC-based systems • Deep understanding of ADAS SW stack and System Architecture • Experience working with Japanese OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. • Fluent in Japanese and English (business & technical fluency required) • Strong system-level debugging capability. • Experience in customer-facing technical roles. Preferred • Experience with ISO 26262 programs • Experience in AI-based perception systems. • Prior experience at semiconductor or Tier-1 supplier • Experience supporting RFQ cycles and production programs.
