(1) Curriculum vitae: Personal ID photo, date of birth, nationality, current address, contact
information (phone number, E-mail address), academic background, work experience,
activities in academic societies, awards, and research grants obtained, etc. Other records
can be included such as invited talks at conferences.
*Applicants who have been employed by Hokkaido University after April 1, 2013 (any
position, including Part-time Lecturer, TA, TF, RA and Short-term Support Assistant, etc.)
should provide full details of their employment history.
(2) List of scientific publications categorized as below:
A. Peer-reviewed papers and reviews
B. Non-peer-reviewed papers and reviews
C. Books
D. Other publications such as commentaries, reports, etc.
(3) Research plans and goals (approx. 1,500-2,000 English words in total)

Screening of application documents

18. Research Expenses
Expenses related to research, such as travel and publication fees, may be provided in
accordance with university regulations. For reference, approximately JPY 270,000 was
provided in FY2025. The actual amount will depend on research needs and is not
guaranteed.
