The purpose of this role is to execute service, repair and maintenance work, such as diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair of advanced hydraulic and mechanical equipment on the MacGregor product range, plus 3rd party makers if needed.
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience within the offshore, ship, or rig equipment sector working with products such as Hatch cover, RoRo equipment, cranes but not limited to. Your main discipline is electrical but you have a working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic principles. As a person you are customer-oriented, cooperative, and have good communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information within the team.
This position involves the installation, on-site adjustment, troubleshooting, and after-sales service of various types of equipment required for vessels, such as large cranes and covers for cargo holds, primarily on newly built ships. Therefore, business trips to client sites, vessels, and shipyards—mainly within Japan—are required. During the training period (2-3 years), you will work at our Mie office, and if you wish, you can work in Shin-Yokohama or Kobe afterwards.
