As the Head of Distribution - Japan within our Vacuum Technique Service Division, your overarching mission is to lead and optimize the distribution network to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality delivery of products and services across the Japanese market. Reporting directly to the Director of VT Central Logistics, you will leverage your expertise to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives that align with the company’s goals.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Develop and execute robust distribution strategies tailored to the unique demands of the Japanese market, enhancing supply chain responsiveness and flexibility.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of logistics and distribution professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and customer service to align distribution efforts with business objectives and customer satisfaction targets.
- Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor distribution effectiveness, identify areas for enhancement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and carriers to negotiate optimal contracts and service agreements that drive cost efficiencies.
- Champion innovative logistics solutions and digital tools that increase automation and data-driven decision-making across the distribution network.
